>Going to a fancy Italian place with my family for my mother's birthday
>Not used to fancy restaurants, this is probably the fanciest i've ever been to (i'm 21)
>Menu has a lot of very elaborate dishes
>Decide to order Spaghetti alla puttanesca because i had heard of it before and wanted to try it
>It's fucking delicious
How did a bunch of Italian whores manage to create such a fucking delicious dish?

OP, why are you so sheltered when it comes to food?
>>8234275
Lived my whole life eating my mother's cooking and going to average at best restaurants because my circle of friends don't like spending money on food. Combine that with never having left my country, never having travelled anywhere since i was 12 and my parents never taking me anywhere to eat when i was growing up and this is where i ended up. I'm just very sheltered in general i guess.

Oh you poor thing. You'll see, things will get better.
>>8234293
Who are you voting for?
>>8234293
But unless you live in some small midwest town you can still get a wide variety of good cheap food.

I'm not American so nobody. I'm not sure i'd be voting for anyone if i were either.

That's because you're a punk ass child.

European food is delicious. It's Canadian and American food that is subpar.

Puttanesca was created when some guys walked into a restaurant late at night and said 'make us any garbage, we'll eat it'. The owner just threw the few ingredients he had left from the dinner run into a pan and voila spaghetti a la slutbag.
They were leftover ingredients. It was literally a bunch of shit in a pan that would usually compliment each ingredient in other dishes. Therefore, it worked well in spaghetti and sauce. It's not rocket surgery, anon.
For those who don't get OP's joke, 'puttanesca' is Italian for prostitute.

You don't want this stress.
We're having a collective crisis in the US, and 80% of the people have already formed strict opinions based on hearsay and backtalk, while the other 20% of people are undecided, because we have to choose between a career politician and a huge safety-orange human air horn with no filter and no experience.
Everyone I know is incredibly stressed out about this election, when we shouldn't have to be. We SHOULD be much more worried about our state and local ballots on November 8th, but no one seems to care about the votes that actually matter, they only care about the two idiots running for president when we all should KNOW that Congress is going to stall and block anything either of them try to do anyway.

I like that you're so candid about it. Maybe there's something good about leading a sheltered life after all.

Puttanesca sauce is amazing. I make it a lot and it takes no time at all.

I'd be more concerned about the divide and conquer mentality about to be unleashed on the country.
