Real talk, fellas.
I've been a Scotch guy all my life. I never had Bourbon (aside from trash like Jack Daniels and Jim Beam at parties) before and want to get into it.
Please recommend me your favourite Bourbon and tell me why you like it above any other brand the most.
Price is not an issue.

Jack Beam.

Jim Beam is Tennessee whiskey. Bourbon can only be made in Bourbon co. Kentucky.
I recommend trying the stalwarts first: Maker's Mark and Wild Turkey 101. They're just about the only bourbons I'll buy consistently.
They won't break the bank and it'll give you a good impression of the fundamental style. That being said, my favorite is Van Winkle Special Reserve 12yo Lot "B". Sadly, it's virtually impossible to find where I live, you mileage may vary if you live in the US.
It represents the peak of flavor between boldness and complexity better than most. It represents what lesser bourbons strive for, and what some overpriced brands feel or think a ridiculous price and marketable prestige can replace.
Maker's Mark is a decent midrange bourbon. Much better than Jack and Jim while still being cheap. Probably a good place for you to start.

Bookers Bourbon is my all time favorite, can't recommend it highly enough.

I like my whiskey like I like my females. 10 years old and 43% alcohol.

Another vote for Bookers. By far the best Bourbon. It's cask strength too so dilute it a little.
Bulliet.
Kicks like a mule and has so much flavor. Not to mention $22 a bottle here so we good.
