What? All the white people I know cook pasta and potatoes, rice has never been a thing among my friends or family. Rice is a latino and asian thing around where I live. The only white people I've seen actively eating rice live in Louisiana.

Pro tip: sautee a bit of garlic in olive oil, then throw in the rice and fry for a bit. Only then add the water.
Low fire until it dries, remember to stir.

Also look up a basic recipe for rice pudding or arroz con leche, shit is fucking delicious.
