Since you guys don't have a "questions that don't deserve their own thread" thread I gotta ask a question here.
How do I know if a lemon is waxed? Should I just unwax every lemon I intend to use the peel of? I'm making candied lemon peels and I don't wanna have a super waxy feel for the peels.

Do you not buy organic, gluten free, homogenized lemons from your local lemonsmith? Pleb

I'm growing my own at home but they're still only 2 foot tall baby plants.

>How do I know if a lemon is waxed?
It's not easy to tell. the layer is so incredibly thin that' it's difficult to detect.
Only way to be sure (outside of a crime lab) is to pick the lemons off the tree yourself.
>>I don't wanna have a super waxy feel for the peels.
Don't worry about it. Even a waxed lemon doesn't taste or feel waxy.

Will I become a candle if I eat the waxed lemon peels?
>>8215049
Hopefully. If not, you can always make a candle salad and sit on it
