Germany and Danmark has a lot of pork in traditional dishes, so has Easter Norway. Danish pork liver pate and sausages are world famous.
Dairy and bread, especially rye bread and crisp breads are found overall.
Western Norway has a lot of fish in it's dishes as it has primarily been inhabited by poor fishermen. Smoked steamed cod, pollock, mackerel, herring and salmon. Fish skin was used to replace house paint on the outer islands.
Sweden has a certain focus on curing fruits, and fruit soups have been popular, along with various fruit condiments.
Northern territories can not really be considered germanic because of the heavy sami influence and heavy use in meats like reindeer.

To add to this, liver pate is definitely huge, like that other guy said. Also black and red currant jam are popular all over. Cloudberry jam exists too, although I dont think that is as popular.

Because Pan-Germanic includes, but is not limited to Germany. Hence why other countries with Germanic languages are lit up in colours in the picture.

What? Most Germanic countries eat things like bread with cheese and eggs and shit for breakfast. Only country I can think of that fits the describtion is the UK.
>Beer
Not really, the Nordic countries are traditionally snaps/akvavit countries.
>Cod liver oil as a standard bourgeois health thing
???
>Bacon?
What?
Lingonberries, but that might just be exclusive to Scandinavia
>>8202841
>No, that's more of a Central European thing. Germany, Poland, Hungary etc.
The Brits love sausages. They just don't taste like vinegary hotdog.
>>8202841
>>Butter
>Yes, like most of Europe
But not Italy, Greece, Spain, or Portugal, at least relative to olive oil.
>>Potatoes as a staple food
>Yes, like most of Europe
But not Italy, Greece, Spain or Portugal, and not relative to bread in France.
>Not really, the Nordic countries are traditionally snaps/akvavit countries.
Do they drink them more often than beer or wine?
>Most Germanic countries eat things like bread with cheese and eggs and shit for breakfast.
Yeah, big meaty breakfasts.
>>Bacon?
>What?
I was expressing my uncertainty of the popularity of salted strips of pork as a fried food in continental Germanic countries. Though I suppose British rashers aren't really salted.
I could probably add more exceptions, except Eastern Europe is a black hole in my cultural universe.
