I have $100 to last me until the end of the month food-wise. What can I do?
Oh look, it's this thread again!
>>8188272
So...
How long til the end of the month?
>>8188255
Why is that rag or pot holder burnt as fuck and are those cold sausages in the pan in pyramid formation?!
Thats going to take a long time to cook...
>>8188382
If you find out how many days are in the month and subtract the number if days there have already been this month the result will be your answer!
>>8188255
10 lbs of rice and 10 lbs of potatoes is 10$, 20 lbs of chicken will cost you like 40$ max, spend the rest on cheap booze.
>>8188391
Mmk. Thanks daddy.
>>8188255
>end of the month
that's only like two weeks op, it cant be hard to stretch $50/week
>>8188255
What do you have on hand?
Frankly, I could probably stretch what I have in my pantry/freezer for the next two weeks if push comes to shove, so that's a -very- important piece of information to give us OP.
>>8188402
Where do you get 20lbs of chicken for $40?
>>8188255
I'd stock up on feminine hygiene products. After all, it is within the 28 day cycle. Food becomes secondary.
>>8188481
I get thighs for $.88 sometimes in the immediate periphery of boston, so it's definitely doable
OP you can stretch $100 easily for 2 weeks, I'm sure you just like the validation of people responding to your thread but you could easily figure this out on your own.
>>8188382
This is the funniest post I've seen on this site in years
>>8188389
Frozen dogs, burner is off, spatula is useless for moving hot dogs...
1 egg and toast/oats for breakfast
Can of soup for lunch
protein and rice/beans for dinner
Drink water and tea
for one person, you can keep this under $7 a day without breaking a sweat
You fucks actually struggle to eat on $50 a week? Shit, you could go get a 2 mcchickens for every meal on 50 a week. WTF. Is this thread bait?
Shit, I eat 2500-3000 kcal a day, not even just rice and beans, actual meals, and I spend maybe $125 a month
>>8189165
McChicken costs $5.69 in Toronto
That's $238.98 for 21 meals
Source: I just bought one an hour ago. Won a free cheeseburger from McD's Monolopy.
>>8189176
Unplug your keyboard, crackhead
>>8189190
Or I could just send some knowledge your way and you can admit your mom still cooks most of your meals.
>>8188255
Invest in kneepads
>>8189197
Those sandwiches cost over 5 dollars each? What the hell?
Why?
buy 85 dollars in grits and butter and cheese and buy 15 bucks of vitamins. I once survived off of 200 bucks for 5 months by buying grits and multivitamins
>>8189205
Big cities are expensive.
Don't apply the same economics as you would in shantytowns.
>>8189229
Ok, then I guess the next reasonable question is why is your stupid fucking ass living there?
>>8188481
Wtf chicken is always $2/lb for breast or thighs
>>8189225
My grandparents in northern Italy lived off polenta (grits), butter, radicchio, and random protein like rabbit after WW2.
Now a meal of rabbit, polenta, and radicchio will cost you $50 before wine in a fine Italian restaurant. It's literally what you make of it. If you know how to cook, you can cook "peasant" food and eat like kings.
>>8189231
I was born and raised here. My family and friends are here, I own a home and a business, and I make enough to support a family. (because you can charge more for services here).
>>8189236
All right man. I won't say that I approve of your life choices, but you get a pass. Carry on.
>>8189176
move out of fucking canuckistani then.
mcchicken is 1.19 USD here you fucking cuck. freedom isn't free
Rice, vegetables, eggs, fruit.
Stop eating fast food everyday you dumb cunt.
>>8188255
Depends on how desperate you are. My suggestion is buy lentils, any cheap chicken parts you can get ahold of, maybe some carrots, celery, whatever, and make a huge pot of lentil soup. Healthy and filling.
You can also buy a bag of big russet potatoes and microwave or bake those fuckers. Top them with salt, pepper, butter, and anything else you have in the pantry or fridge. Ham, chicken, broccoli. Quick and healthy.
>>8189236
>I have miserably failed to budget and my family will suffer as a result
>>8190729
That anon is not OP.
>>8188255
Do you really have to ask this? I spend less than 200 € a month on food, every month. Just buy lentils, rice, and whatever vegetables are on sale and you'll survive the month on $10.
>>8188255
>return of the dreaded high school math word problem
>>8189229
That's a bullshit response. This is McDonald's we are talking about.
>>8188255
Pasta or rice w/ veggies and protein. What the hell is your problem, OP?
>>8188382
I needed that.
>>8189229
absolutely ridiculous I live in Seattle and pay 1 buck for a McChicken.
You must live in a country that pays fast food employees more.
>>8188389
It's a photoshoot
Shop at Aldi
>>8188255
rice, lentils, potatoes, stock cubes, curry paste, canned tomatoes, frozen spinach, for veg curry all month.
milk for b-vitamins.
>>8190895
thats a nice recipe except for the milk
cow body fluids are revolting.
A sack of brown rice that will last all year will cost you $15
One kilo of navy beans, pinto beans, and lentils will cost ~$10
Vegetables for the rest of the month will be $10
Sack of potatoes costs $7
Oatmeal is dirt cheap, milk and eggs for dairy, and cook with olive oil
$100 spread out of 2 weeks is easy as fuck, m8. Even a month would be okay if you really, really tried.
>>8190954
>eggs for dairy
are you really this retarded?
>>8190980
xD
no dude eggs come from animal utters
stop being autistic dude
from the 16th? pretty much anything you want
>>8188255
2 weeks supply of rice and legumes is like $25
>>8188255
easy as fuck unless you're a fat fuck
Value packs of chicken (breast only if trying to be fit, others are fattier and personally I don't like as much. You may have to trim these. Whole breast will also tend be cheaper than cutlets), affordable fresh or frozen produce, finish with rice, beans, lentils or other bulk food. Buy the cheap gallons of milk if you have to drink something other than water. Eggs a couple times during the week since a carton is cheap. Oats for most breakfasts.
OP has since starved to death, guys.
Beans
Rice
Bagged mixed veggies
>>8188382
Haven't had a laugh this good in a while
Is everyone on this fucking board poor as shit?
Or do y'all just suck at budgeting?
You get money from the government
>>8191424
What is that Sanskrit?
That's fucking two weeks. Eat whatever you want. If it costs you more than $100 to feed one person for two weeks you have a serious problem.
>>8189197
The fuck is a CBO?
>>8188389
What about that massive hunk of butter on the grill
>>8189205
canada funny money
>>8188426
I could live off $50 week incredibly comfortably and I live in straya, the fuck you doin OP?
>>8188481
At Savealot here in IN, I can get a 10 pound bag of chicken leg quarters for $4.70. Granted, it's frozen, but you can definitely get 20 lbs of chicken for under $40.
