>lol the bottle changes color
Is this seriously a selling point? Does it actually work?
>>
>>8173856
beer-water is best cold. I'm a busch light man myself...
>>
>>8173858
What does any of that have to do with the packaging?

>beer-water
Now I'm not one of these beer elitists, but I had a Coors Light recently and I really do have to wonder what the appeal is. Is it just because it's cheap?
>>
I've bought coors light many many times and pay zero attention to the blue mountain shit.

>it's warm even
>>
>>8173871
BECAUSE WE WORK HARD DOING SHIT WITH OUR HANDS AND WANT TO COME HOME AND DRINK A SUPER FUCKIN COLD BEER AT A REASONABLE PRICE. SO COLD IT DOESNT MATTER WHATS IN IT.
>>
>>8173871
You're one of those faggots that inhibit innovation. Coors has invented the color changing technology, some other beer company invented the quick pour tab, we'll get some more innovations over the next years and soon we'll have super cans and bottles that shit all over the old style
>>
>>8173902
Fine. But what about the actual fucking beer?
>>
>>8173871
beer-water keeps you hydrated and gets you need to be. You sound frustrated, are you a working man?
>>
>>8173905
He means you can piss in a color changing bottle but at the end of the day your just holding a bottle full of piss
>>
>>8173871
Yea cheap and easy to drink large quantities.
>>
>>8173913
My point exactly.

>>8173910
Responding to these comments is work, let me tell you.

No is the answer to your question.

>>8173916
Fair enough. Down the hatch, then.
>>
>>8173910
>2014+3-1
>being a "working man"

I'm a gender neutral recent graduate
>>
>>8173913
The big companies will lead the innovation and it'll eventually spread to the craft beer companies. Probably pretty quickly as they are increasingly becoming more popular
>>
the color changing technology works. you can tell when your beer is cold by looking at it.
>>
>>8173932
I mean the marketing. Does the marketing work? Do people buy this shit because the bottle changes fucking color?
>>
>>8173928
cease your existence for the good of humanity.
>>
>>8173940
well if I had to choose between a non color changing beer and a color changing beer id pick the color changing beer.
>>
>>8173957
I mean given that the beers are exactly the same.
>>
>>8173963

Well if the price is the same then why wouldn't you pick a bottle with extra features?
>>
>>8173871
its shit beer for shit people really if you want to get simplified.
Its the same as enjoying low quality weed just because its cheap and you don't fucking care the high is weak. You want to get fucked up.
>>
>>8174012
it's not even cheap

that's the funniest part
>>
>>8173940
>>8173957
>>8173963
This is actually something called "mental marketing" or one of a fucking thousand other buzzwords

See, it doesn't matter if it's useful or anything
by having a unique feature, it made you think about it, even for .5 seconds longer than the competitors

It doesn't matter that it's shit. It just matters that you thought about it for a second longer than the competition. The visual maybe even now occupies the category visual in your mind of "beer". And that makes it sell a little better.

Maybe not a ton. But if it sells .5% better, then it's worth it. Coors sold 2.4 billion dollars worth of beer just in their "lite" category in 2015. Even if it only sold .5% more, that's still 12 million bucks. I mean, their quarterly profits were down because they've been undercut by other brands, so it's hard to say how much this marketing stunt helped, but I can almost certainly say it helped a little.

Very well explained. I didn't expect 4chan to be actually helpful but there you go.

Unsarcastic thumbs up.

I bought a couple of bottles of Stoli once and one of them had a cool limited edition label (see pic related). I didn't know it was cold activated until I took it out of the ice bucket and it had this great artwork.
