I added too much cayenne to my mac and cheese sauce and now after finishing the dish I realize that it might be too spicy for some people. Can I add milk to the end result to dilute the spiciness or am i fucked?

milk will work, as will any fat. Unsalted butter would work best. Sugar also would cut down. Salt, interestingly enough, will intensify and sharpen how spicy it is
