how and when do I use this when making pasta? it's so small?

ok so what I do with other sacues is I cook the pasta, get the water off, put back in pot THEN apply the sauce, stir with spoon. But what do I do with this cram? it's so small idk how to get it all on pasta. Sorry for stupid question know it's not worth thread but honestly don't know what else to do

Don't be a butt, pesto's easy af to make.
1. Basil
2. Some sort nut like a walnut or pine nut
3. Olive oil
4. Mortar and pestle/or food processor

wa la you got pesto. Add creme if you desire it.

I love pesto but to be honest it's one of the few things that give me heartburn.
