>baked goods are inferior to homemade because they abuse sugar and use shortening instead of fat
>go to expensive bakery
>ambient is better
>baked goods cost 5x more
>same shit, too much sugar, shortening

Ok I'm supposed to pay for the whole experience and not only the food but what if I only gain utility from the food in itself? Is usa and europe better or after the invention of shortening the only way to get something of higher quality is baking at home?
