Humans hit the top of the food chain pretty quickly, and became the most advanced animals on the planet. That doesn't mean we should handicap ourselves just because we "know better" and have "compassion". Those aren't even the reasons why we try to be nice to animals. Meat really should just be there as a side, for bites of rich flavour in between bites of colorful vegetables. But to cut meat out of your diet completely is retarded.
