I need some help here. I'm going to try experimenting with some crab cakes and broiling, but I've never broiled food before. My oven has two settings for the broiler, Low and High, yet every recipe I see for crab cakes doesn't mention broil settings. So which setting should I use for them, Low so they can cook more evenly?

Look into your oven's manual or ask your parents. Most broilers are over 250°C.

Broiling is about using high direct heat, otherwise you'd just bake - low seems like a ruse
