Just ordered my first whetstone. What can I expect? Any tips for beginners?

Expect your penis to remain small. As for a tip, stuff your trousers.
I've got one of those ones, bear in mind the coarse side is more like a blade reshaper than a sharpener, it takes a lot off.
The angle you need is probably shallower than you'd expect, and make sure you let the thing dry properly afterwards or it can grow mould.

I don't care what the porn addicted youth says but a small penis is actually better to have than a large one. Why am I saying this? In 99.9% of your whole life, all the time you won't have sex, a small penis is objectively just a superior thing to have. Especially when you get older and will have less and less of a sex drive it just gets better and better.
this thread contains a lot of lols and wisdom.

Nope. A mold is a die, which has nothing to do with mould.
Look it up.

I'm a 6'4" chef at Wendy's with a 9 inch cock making over $130,000 per year and I use these all the time.
Is the steel in your chef's knife folded over one thousand times?

Look it up more carefully, mold means both growth and a die, unless you're Anglo and then mould is both a growth and a die.
No country uses both mold and mould to differentiate the meanings.

The important thing is that you looked it up and gained an education. No need to thank me.

A mold is not a die. A mold is for casting and a die is for forming. Reference: I am a manufacturing engineer

Round of the edges on the stone. All 4 sides, just give a quick bevel as to not run your blade against it. Made that mistake a few times when I first started sharpening.
Soaking time (If it requires it) is also very important. You're gonna want to make sure you don't over soak it; letting it sit in water for hours upon hours or course, or else the stone will simply fall apart into pieces and break.I would however recommend going a bit above the suggested time, as a softer stone lends more of the abrasive when sharpening, making it easier.
i.e If the stone says to soak for 20 minutes, go for 25 minutes

You'll round the shit out of your edge until you get enough practise to require another stone. Your wrists will get sore. Consistent motions are the key to keeping a proper angle.
