What's the best macro swill? I've been drinking lots of the cheap canned beer and can barely tell a difference between any of them. None of them are that bad though as long as it's ice cold.
>>
Busch is surprisingly good. Same with Old Milwakee. I usually go for budweiser though.
>>
High life and keystone are my go to cheap beers. I used to be a coors/bud drinker
>>
PBR
Coors/Keystone Light
Miller Lite

Never had yeungling but I've seen it posted on here all the time, I bet it's good and I'd like to try it. The regional cheap beer here is lone star, it's good and easy to get for cheap.

I get tallboys Keystone Ices for a buck here. Adult Arizonas.

I kinda like Bud Ice. It's the cheapest 24 ounce around, so I would get one every now and then. Having some liver trouble at the moment, been a while since I've had alcohol.
>>
>>8159144
Busch doesn't give me much of a hangover so that's usually what I drink
>>
Old Style Pilsner
>>
Does Sam Adams get labeled a macro?

If we're talking classic American, my heart goes out to Yuengling.
>>
>>8159144
Shiner is a pretty good domestic.

When i go for swill i either drink high life or ice house. 40's are also a good buy

I usually go for the Blue Ribbon beer, with Budweiser as a back up. That said, I had Busch last night for the first time and it was just as good as Bud, so I might make that my secondary when I feel the need to buy cheep bear.

You can get a 30-pack of this for about 15 bucks. It's far better that most of the swill already listed here.
>>
>>8159144
Icehouse Edge. It's like 8%, doesn't taste nearly as bad as Hurricane, Steel Reserve, etc and is really cheap.
>>
Red Dog. $9 for a 30 and, like the can says, it's "uncommonly smooth".

>>8160844
>15 bucks

You're getting hosed brother. Boxer is $7.89 for 30 where I'm at.
>>
PBR no contest, I literally enjoy it
>>
High life 40 mixed with oj is nice.
>>
>all these people saying pbr

I'm not saying that it doesn't taste good but it ain't fucking cheap. Hipsters ruined that back 10-15 years ago. The cheapest I see it these days is like 17-18 bucks for 24. Beers of similar quality can be had for almost half that.
>>
High Life is the best.
>>
>>8161713

I see it for 17-18 bucks/30 and 7.99/12. I don't like pbr though. I've only had it at the bar when they were 1$ pints
>>
>>8161724

Forgot to mention all the 'ice' beers and high life are $6.99/12 and usually $12-13/30 which makes them the best cheap beer
>>
If I buy a macro, it's this or Miller High Life.
>>
>>8161748

What would they serve at a fucking coors banquet?

Read the results of a blind taste test last year, the point of the article highlighting that "premium" macros are only considered "premium" due to price. The results:
>Stroh's #1 (somewhat regional, so may not find)
>Old Milwaukee #2
>honorable mentions: PBR, Yuengling
>>
>>8159305
Love Hamm's. Love it when QT has a 30 fo like $12.
>>8161755
Coors is the banquet beer, fucker. Go to a classy banquet sometime. Guaranteed Coors.

Surprised none of you have mentioned this - but Natural Light has been my go-to for a loooong time. Cheap and delicious when ice cold.

I've switched to Michelob Ultra recently because it has 2.6g of carbs per can. It's worked too, I've been able to maintain weight loss. Great stuff and cheap to boot.
>>
>>8161992

I like natty ice more. Haven't had Michelob in years. Never really bought it bc there was always cheaper light beers
>>
>>8159144
Hard to beat the value of the Costco Kirkland beer, 48 pack for about 20 bucks, tastes as good/bad as any other macro.
>>
>>
>>8159144
>>
>>8159156
We used to call Busch "Diesel." Because the next morning's sounds violently escaping from your asshole reminded us of a diesel engine.

Does Rolling Rock count?

I was at a CVS the other day and an old black woman walked in and yelled to a cashier across the store "YA'LL GOT DAT ROLLIN' STONE BREW?!?!"

No one ever talks abot it but Busch Ice is my fave, it's 5.9% here and abot $6.50 for a 12 pack. That and steel reserve black is abot the only beers i bother with.
>>
Rolling Blue Yuengribbon: Banquet Beer
>>
I mostly drink Pabst, and once in a while I switch to High Life. On hot summer days a nice cold Coors (original, not light) is really nice, but it's kind of yeasty so it wears old fast.

My go to cheap party beer is Corona. The lime actually does help.

My favorite beer that is at least somewhat widely available is Shiner Bock. Kind of straddles the line of being macro. Best beer I can usually find in a grocery store or gas station.

>>
>>8159179
Yeungling is the best US macro beer (it recently surpassed the Boston Beer Company as the #1 brewer based entirely in the US). It's only drawback is that it currently only serves the eastern 3rd of the US. If you live near Pottsville, PA or Tampa, FL, it's remarkably cheap, too. 24-pack of Yeungling at Costco in the Tampa Bay area is just under $20 right now.
>>
Hey, brahstein! I picked up a dirty thirty of George Dubya Busch a little bit ago!

>>8159168
I miss Copper Lager! Since moving to Philly I haven't been able to find it. Actually, I'm usually pretty lucky to find Busch. So I normally just get High Life or Yeungling because it's the cheapest at my local distributor when I'm buying in bulk. In high school/college in Ohio when we first got Yeungling imported I thought it was overhyped mediocrity. Now it's my usual go-to and it has greatly grown on me.
>>
>>8161876
I'm a fan. Some people love it, others hate it for some reason.
>>
>>8159144
Hamm's, Pabst, Schlitz, Blatz, Old Milwaukee, Strohs, and Olympia
>>
>>8159144
natty mother fucking ice. it has some of the best calorie to alcohol ratios and easily the best in that "range".
>>
Coors Banquet
>>
My go-to for cheapness is usually Tecate. Coors and High Life are also acceptable. PBR can be alright if you want something almost tasteless. In the PNW, Ranier is probably the best choice.

For slightly more, Michelob amber bock is my usual choice; tastes better than all of the above and is cheaper than Shiner.
>>
trick is to shot the first 2 or 3 out of a 15 case then the rest go down real easy
>>
>>8161876
Blew chunks shotgunning one of these while brownout drunk back in college. Even sipping them I found vile.

High Life is my go-to, although I don't mind Coors or Keystone.
>>
>>8159144
I would say Miller High Life, because you can get it in the big-ass cans and it actually tastes okay, but it fills me up with so much fizz I'm belching out suds every thirty seconds. So I'm going to have to go with Foster's Ale, especially if you can pick it up in the $2ish range. Otherwise, PBR and Budweiser are okay choices.
>>
Red Dog
>>
>>8161689
christ almighty

I haven't had boxer, but where do you live that a 30 is 7.89?
>>
>>8159144
I actually prefer Keystone over Bud Light, Coors, and Miller when forced to buy macro swill
>>
>>8166918
Shiner, blue moon, and fat tire are all respectable
>>
>>8161876
My man
>>
>>8159144
PBR, Natty Light, Busch, or Coors light for everyday beer.

Blue moon, Shock Top, Fat tire, Landshark all good choices as well.

Yuengling is trash.
>>
>>8164667
I like pabst too, but it has to be really cold. I drank it room temperature once, it was really bad.
>>
>>8161713

>>
>>8161713
Where I live it's still as cheap as Natty, Keystone, Rolling Rock, etc.
>>
>>8159144
Here in Cali I paid 19.24 out the door for a 30 pack of Natty Ice 5.9%. Its the best deal right now. Even Pabst 24 pack cans are the same exact price.

And Miller high life 30 packs are like 25 bucks out the door.
