Is anyone trying to make weird shit out of ingredients?

Currently i'm thinking about crushing cheeseballs into powder/little chunks and then coating chicken for example, think that would be a viable thing to do?

I tried with instant ramen and it was okay-ish but nothing to write home about.

If you're old enough to be here, you're too old to be smoking pot

that's kinda freaky, i actually thought up the idea to make it while high.

Sure, people have done that many times before. Crushed cereal, potato chips, etc. is often used as breading.

Dunno why you would want to do that though, it seems like there are plenty of alternatives that would taste better.

I can't explain why, in my head i just imagined it having a crunchy cheesy taste and feel.

My experience has been that the best tasting food is made from good quality ingredients. Starting out with stuff that's shit to begin with like instant ramen or cheese puffs is putting yourself at a disadvantage unless you're fucking brilliant.

There's no such thing as "too old to be smoking pot"

The problem I see is that cheese balls don't have much structural integrity. If you crush them to make breading they'll turn into dust rather than crunchy little bits.

The ramen coating was actually pretty decent.

Mixed the ramen with the spice mix and then dipped the chicken in milk and coated it with my ramen mix.

It was pretty good, however it's not something i would shop to make, however if i had it lying around i might make it again.

And here i thought i was being original, cheers though.

I've used crushed cheese balls as breading before, works fucking great. Go for it.

You can make pretty decent food using all manner of prefab ingredients. It will just be very unlikely to come out better than decent. If you're going to put the time and effort into cooking your own food why not start with the best ingredients you can get your hands on so it stands a chance of being actually good? Novelty is great, but less so when you have to eat it.

I totally agree, however if i by chance stumbled upon something that was actually worth the hassle, i feel like my time was well spent.

I really like crushed goldfish on my chicken
