http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/37420032/australian-man-patents-the-hamdog---a-hotdog-and-burger-combo
Greatest invention yes?
What a faff.
I'd just order one of each, and mainly because I wouldn't want to look like a literal giant cock and balls muncher.
I've seen burger in the shape of hot dogs, and now this. but you know what i haven't seen? a hot dog in the shape of a hamburger
>>8111815
So I guess now it's official...hot dog is a sammich?
>>8111822
Get a hot dog so big that a slice of it is as large as a burger patty.
>>8111822
> hot dog in the shape of a hamburger
So... like... baloney?
>>8111832
Like so.
pic related is superior
>>8111836
Well
I mean. Yeah. I guess. I was thinking more like crumbling up a bunch of hot dogs, adding what you usually add to hamburgers like spices and onion and breadcrumbs and shaping it into a patty
>>8111815
Looks and sounds terrible
>>8111857
an idea just came to me. brown a thin hotdog, wrap it in ground beef and then cook that and put it in a hot dog bun.
>>8111871
im sure thats been done before. bet it was even wrapped in bacon after the hamburger because it sounds so meme worthy
>>8111837
Riddle me this: do you eat both sides of the burger first, and then the hotdog, or do you eat each end of the hot dog first, and then the hotdog/burger combo in the middle?
>>8111858
>adding onion and breadcrumbs to the patty
No.
>Patents
How the fuck do you patent something like that?
I'm pretty fucking sure most fast food places have had something like that during their "memefood of the month" campaigns
How do you even patent food?
Wouldn't he be sued for using the hamburger and hotdog patent without approval of the patent holder?
Did he simply copyright the name "Hamdog" and the news site mixed up the terms?
>>8111922
yes
>>8111960
Remind me never to eat your burgers, burger pleb.
>>8112010
hurr hurr my opinions are fact, taste isnt subjective durr
>>8112026
So you like meatloaf burgers?
food gore thread?

why is australia doing america better than actual americans?
we're slipping as a people. we need double down on our values.
>>8112375
how about a burger with mini hot dogs stuffed inside it and then a bun made of grilled cheeses stuffed inside a bun
and then fried
>>8112375
>munchie boxes
>deep fried pizzas
Are Scots the true Americans.
It baffles me that munchie boxes aren't a thing in America. I want this trash so much.
How the fuck can you even patent that?
Oh and we got there first.
>>8111936
It's a pretty particular shape. You can patent almost anything, all you have to do is have some way that it's slightly different from things that came before it.
>>8112396
>look at pic
>look at food
>look at canned beverage
>brain reads 'vomito'
Makes sense
australia has finally invented the edible shitpost
>patenting food techniques
Australia is fucking dingo bonkers mate.
>>8112332
>pouring boiling hot content on a styrofoam tray
>not just dumping the stupid nachos around the cup instead of meticulously picking each one to lay out
wtf, I love Trump now
>>8112571
Lmao
>>8112634
>just dumping the stupid nachos around the cup
um... excuse me?
this is a DELICACY
you can't just dump it if you want to make food THIS good
...PRESENTATION is IMPORTANT people!!!
A hambratger would be way better and he didn't patent it.
>>8112396

>>8111832
my god that would be horrible
>>8111822
Just get bologna.
>>8112010
>He doesn't mix minced onion, bread crumbs, and egg into his meat for a hearty, flavorful patty that stays together perfectly.
>He eats plain ass, crumbly dogshit burgers, probably with ketchup.
Fucking dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Hot dog is garbage meat in a paltry bun meant to be served with as much garnish as possible to make it edible. It's typically associated with baseball games, wherein the attendant is supposed to get hammered drunk within the first three innings to make the game and food watchable/edible (this is as a major baseball fan, go 'stros!).
Hamburgers are quick and easy food, with specific garnishes to make the hamburger taste nice; it can be served as cheap garbage food or as pretty okay food in an actual restaurant, with sides and a drink. Not too fancy as to alienate the working man but not too awful as too earn the scorn of the wealthy, and both have the ability to appeal to everyone through their modularity.
The two foods are totally incompatible and combining them is retarded. They stand for different aesthetics of American life that are both ubiquitous yet indefinable. Of course a fucking australian shits on both traditions
>>8113294
I feel like it's worth it, though.
>>8113352
Not the other anon, but if I make burgers I just do it with meat, salt and pepper
If I want to eat just the patty with some mashed potatoes or something I usually do it like you except I also add Dijon mustard and zucchini. The zucchini originally was a way of my mom sneaking vegetables into my food but it makes it juicier imo.
Australia is so inventive!
>>8113411
that's rough.
>>8111837
http://www.bradbrat.de/
i got you mate. german dude already did that.
And it tastes glorious, you slice it up and bbq it like a patty and then use as "bratwurst burger"
good shit.
>>8111837
Thats just (a cheap, industrial made) Mortadella. You see Sausage like this in every Butchershop in Europe. You buy slices of it.
>>8113411
I'm Australian and have never seen anything similar to your picture, which looks shit
>>8113455
>I'm Australian
>>8113368
>mfw the Astros got their asses handed to the by the Rangers once again
I would eat a burger dog, honestly. Though it's not going to be easy to find a hot dog made of quality ingredients unless I made it myself, and since I don't have the equipment I guess I'm settling for Oscar Mayer. But different strokes for different folks. I don't really think a hamburger and hot dog are that far apart in terms of what they represent.
Hamdogger sounds better t b h

How is there still no information about what this is and where it is? I need to know what kind of establishment sells this, and to whom
>>8114661
It's been posted many times.
It's mexican street food. customers are random mexicans. Name of the dish is "dorilocos".
>>8111822
>>8114668
http://www.eater.com/2016/3/21/11218834/dorilocos-doritos-gummy-bears-tostilocos-mexico
>Tostilocos, Dorilocos, and other saucy, chip-based street snacks developed organically, as a way for Mexicans to reclaim a product that American companies were portraying as authentically Mexican. In the Times, Arellano says, "That's what people in Mexico do with anything that comes down from somewhere else. We change it, we add more ingredients, more toppings."
Dear lord
>>8112332

Mexifag here. That shit is sold fucking everywhere, especially in the worst parts of Mexico City. You can even find people selling it on the fucking Metro. I tried dorilocos once, and they are fucking awful. Apparently only lowest common denominator niggers like that shit.
>>8111815
The USPTO is a joke
>>8115917
Pic related is pretty much the same thing, except for the fact that it's a frozen juice instead of doritos. They are called "gomiboings", I think. I sometimes fucking hate my country.
>>8115924
That looks terrifying.
>>8115926
Anon, it tastes even worse than what it looks. Trust me.
