Comfy Midnight Snack Thread: Grandmas House Edition
Keebler MeMe cookies and Grandma's Homemade banana nut muffins.
Earlier today was:
Chicken salad
Cornbread Dressing
Butter Beans
Silver Corn
Rice and Bratwurst
Cheese Biscuits.
All made from scratch. Already has beef stew in the crock pot. Will be up at 4am to prep the rest of Sunday dinner and have it on the table after church but before football. Nearly 80 too.
Go visit Grandma Anon. She wants to see you.
Grandma's dead

Sounds hot.
She a dirty girl?

No she's dead
Sorry, >>8103611 is right. Grandma died a while ago. And if she was alive, I wouldn't go banging on her door in the small hours just for a snack.
I was inspired to make pickled eggs by those pickled egg threads we had recently. I'm eating those now.
I just visited my grandma and grandpa, did some yard work for them and they gave me a nice apple crisp and some banana bread.

Do they just taste like regular pickles, but soft and squishy?

Mine tasted like chili-garlic paste because I put a bunch of it into the brine. Eggs get less squishy when you pickle them, actually, the whites firm up a lot. I like the texture better than non-pickled boiled eggs.
Best midnight-cookie-snack right here.

The thin ones are better. In fact, I'd say that the thin lemon oreos are just as good as any high end lemon wafer you can buy at those fancy European groceries.
I visit my grandparents all the time. Unfortunately my grandma has dementia and can't do anything anymore. She was an amazing cook though.
My favorite thing she made was her kugel. I use a lot of her recipes she passed on to me.
