Kombucha, though i have to say that 4/5 brands I try are really terrible and I'm not surprised that most people are turned off by it. pic related is a brand that I can only find in Washington, but it's incredible. It tastes like earthern sprite with a very like alcoholic kick. Considering having some shipped.

Ruski so I love to eat a shitton of salmon roe (like pic attached).

It shouldn't be a big deal, but I get a lot of "fish eggs?!" eww!!! which is strange, but I guess people have limited taste.

Same with offal. Chicken livers and onions godtier, though.

I feel kind of bad for the small, kind of mousey woman who makes it, though. You know her cult leader boss is taking all of the profits. He just awkwardly blathers on about fake health benefits while she stands behind him, looking at the ground.

What material, non-shareable goods should I tip her in? Seriously feel kind of bad.

At least balut is a mammal (or soon to be). I don't think I can stomach insects, though I have heard that they taste like crustations. They just look too... crispy.

>>8100449
The beak and all of the bones feel like small cartilage, if I even notice them. Most of the time I don't. Everything feels blended in. The different parts do feel different, but I wouldn't be able to describe how.

As for the feathers, it depends on how develop the duck is. For more mature fetuses, I guess the texture is a bit like peach fuzz? There some kind of texture to the feathers that differentiates it a bit from the rest of the duck. Overall, the duck tastes like a soupy brothy chicken that's extremely tender.

The yellow part feel just like a boiled chicken egg yolk, but softer and more savory. This is honestly my favorite part, followed by the juices in the egg.

I usually throw away the white part. It's almost always hard and tasteless. If plastic were edible, I imagine that's how it would taste.

It's best eaten with some salt and pepper, with a squirt of lemon (either by dipping or just adding into the "meat juice"). You would follow bits with some laksa leaves/Vietnamese coriander to refresh your palette.

the heel is usually the last piece of bread, so if you don't eat a lot of bread it's going to be stale, combine that with the fact that crust gets even more stale than the middle of the bread and because it's usually smaller it's usually a bit more awkward to eat.

It could be. I've never considered it. The boiled egg is a bit soupy. A bit like a stew?

If you fried the raw egg, I imagine it'd be like chunky fried fried chicken egg, but more flavorful, so you would use a very light hand with any seasonings. I honestly never seen what it looks like raw, so I wouldn't know. If this thread is still around in a few days, maybe I'll give it a try and post the results.

If you fried the boiled egg (primarily the fetus), it could work out, if you could keep the duck from falling apart, so a batter would probably be necessary.
>>
>>8102428
>it could work out, if you could keep the duck from falling apart
Oh, I thought the duck was "meatier", like it would resist being fried sort of like just a piece of fried chicken meat.

I like to eat Cheez-Its and store them inside of my cheek like a chipmunk. When I feel like I've gotten a full enough pouch, I'll spit out the chewed up Cheez-Its and form it into a wet, mushy, cheesy ball. Then I eat the ball one nibble at a time.

Same here. I used to dislike mochi, actually, I bought it on impulse just to see what the deal was and I just didn't like it, both flavor and texture.
Then I tried other flavors and now I love it, for me it's an acquired taste thing.

Are wasabi snacks as spicy as the real deal? I had the chance to buy them but since I can't tolerate the taste of prepared powder wasabi I thought the snacks would be bad.
>>
>>8102793
I like the red bean and green tea ones. Also made anpan once which came out surprisingly good, tastes great.

I don't think I've ever had real wasabi, but I've always loved mustard, even as a kid, and the wasabi (or 'wasabi') stuff I get around here is mustard-y and clears my nose, I like the taste & sensation.

Chocolate sounds nice, but isn't it pretty generic then? There's chocolate everything everywhere, but red bean paste you only see at conventions.

And you're right about the mocchi being an aquired taste. I can only enjoy them in moderation tho, same with olives. I _love_ both, but only up to a certain amount, then it quickly becomes sickening for some reason.

Ahoy, Ivan!
Where I come from we have a mild version of this, basically cold-smoked roe from north sea cod i believe, mixed with oil, salt, sugar vinegar, potato flour, and it comes in a squeezy tube. It's just called "kaviar" but I don't really think it qualifies as real caviar because of the milder taste and smaller roe. It's really delicious on light bread with butter and slices off egg, like a spread. Also, children eat this a lot, but a lot of grown-ups have a problem with it, supposedly because your breath will smell like fish eggs for the rest of the day, lol. I think it's very good though. Pic kinda related

Most people buy their cheese at the grocery store
Many grocery stores don't store their cheese right (tightly wrapped in non-breathable wrap etc) and the 'fancier' cheeses often don't have very fast turnover.
The combination of these two things causes some cheeses, like brie and camembert, to develop flavors and smells of ammonia or to change texture.
Also a lot of people eat cheese way too cold which changes texture and flavor also
