What the fuck is this thing and how do I cook it? My mom bought this at a farmers market but doesn't know the name. It looks like a Pokemon and my guess is it's some type of gorde.
Looks like a pumpkin. Cut open, collect flesh, make into soup?

Never seen a pumpkin that looks like this but soup is a good idea

Hm, indeed. It does look like a gourd, are you sure it's meant to be eaten? Some of those are ornamental and have very little flesh.

scallop squash btw, don't know how to use it.

Thanks anon, just found a few recipes online for scallop squash but their all kinda boring like just cutting it up and cooking with olive oil salt and pepper. If anyone has any other ideas let me know

You can basically do anything you can do with zucchini. I say grill it with some beef satay and serve with peanut sauce.

sounds dank, hopefully I have enough sauce for that
can't go wrong with soup

The bigger ones are perfect for stuffing, but yeah, use it like zucchini.
