It has a metric shit ton of sugars (increases viscosity), citric acid to take the edge off the sweetness buffered with Disodium phosphate, gels, goms, surfactants and emulsifiers.

Jack in the box ingredient list :

Ice Cream Shake Mix
Milk, Cream, Sucrose, Skim Milk, Corn Syr
up, Whey, Stabilizer (Sodium Caseinate, Cellulose Gum, Mono- and Di-glycerides, Disodium Phosphate, Non-Fat Dry Milk, Carrageenan, Guar Gum, Sodium Citrate,
Polysorbate 65, and Dextrose), Natural and Artificial Vanilla, Annatto Extract.

That's going to take quite a lot of ingredients and experimentation to replicate.

I would use Xanthan gum though, as you can get it in most supermarkets.
It's usually sold with the gluten free stuff. It can be used in baking to reproduce the structure in breads and cakes that gluten normally produces.
But it will thicken your shake up no problem.

You could make it with stevia, although you will have to compensate with even more shit to thicken it up.

get an milkshake blender

spend more time blending it together

you should NOT need to add sugar to it, this is how you tell a milkshake is poor quality

a nice blender will emulsify the entire thing and get perfect texture provided you put enough icecream in it
