Soup is funny. It's not really a meal nor is it really a first course, because it's mostly made of water.
I find soup to be the most watery of foods.
Thanks Bobby Flay, had no idea there was water in soup.
Did you know there's chicken in chicken?
Crazy times we live in.
>I find soup to be the most watery of foods.

Watermelon is still probably more watery from a percentage standpoint.

You can cut a watermelon into pieces and the pieces will retain their individual shapes.
You can't cut soup into pieces, therefore soup is more watery than watermelon.

But it isn't, it's usually served as an entree (original definition not the American definition)
There's porridge I suppose. As a joke with my relatives I call it water rice水饭 in chinese, though it's more literally translated as diluted rice稀饭. I mean to make it you literally just add more water to rice and boil it, then add whatever you feel like for actual flavor.

Why waste time with soup when you could be enjoying some chowder?

wtf I hate soup now
The other day my friends were talking about how they were on a no food cleanse for 3 days.
When I heard that I said "I feel like by the third day I'd start cheating saying soups were beverages not food"
