A gf here, not gonna pull the "cooking is sexy" card, but I definitely appreciate that my boyfriend can cook. It's always nice having a meal cooked for you, and cooking together is fun.

She supports it. She buys ingredients and supplies for the kitchen regularly. We cook together pretty often.

It was clearly better and this made her pissed. The nail in the coffin though was that she lived with her sister who loved my cooking and never shut up about it. I eventually dumped her because with all this food, she was getting kind of fat.

I've only had a few long term relationships. One taught me how to cook. Another loved the fact that I could cook.

Actually my gf taught me how to cook, I'm like jean reno on that movie where he loved so much his dead wife that he still cooked everynow and then the recipes that she taught him, except of course that my gf isn't dead yet.

We have to make uneasy compromises about what we cook. She REALLY likes to only eat at restaurants or get delivery whenever there's any stress in her life, and when she cooks she prefers to cook calorie bombs.

As long as I pander a bit (occasionally cook variations on traditional foods from the American South) and do the work, I can work in meals that aren't insanely unhealthy and don't break the bank.

In short, she likes that I can and do cook but gets kinda cranky if dinner is salmon with brown rice and beet green salad, for example (Friday's dinner which was good, dammit). Writing this out has made me uneasy about my relationship t b h.
