Marshmallow isn't common in my country. So I bought some

Skewer one on a stick, hold it over a fire and rotate until evenly golden on all sides. Then eat it. Repeat until bored or out of marshmallows.

Coffee and hot cocoa with marshmallows taste good to me. They just sort of melt into a foam and act as a sweetener.
Also some marshmallows taste like shit because of shit ingredients.

I personally have never been a fan of marshmallows all that much, but slowly and lightly toasted over a fire or burner does make it significantly better
