Does Ketchup belong in the fridge or pantry?
I say pantry because I don't want cold ketchup on my burger or hotdog.

Here's a better question, where does syrup belong?
Same thing.

it belongs in the fridge, but people are happy letting it sit out IF they use it quick enough
cold ketchup + hot fries is good
room temperature ketchup + hot fries isn't as good
It belongs on the counter. Do you really think they refrigerate every bottle of ketchup in a restaurant at night? It's fine to sit out, plus cold ketchup on hot anything is garbage.

How long do you think an open bottle of ketchup will last in the average restaurant? Do you think it will last months before it is all used up?
I bought one of those huge three packs of ketchup from Costco and by the time I opened the last one, a year or so later, it was actually starting to go off a little.
