I'm going to seoul for a week in a few days. redpill me on korean food.
I'm a big fan of black pudding so this sundae blood sausage thing caught my eye.
what else should I try? with restaurant/areas if you feel like being extra helpful.

I live in Seoul
Sundae is good
Samgyeopsal (Korean babeque)
If you like spicy food I highly recommend 오삼불고기 (osambulgogi)
Go to Itaewon if you want to be surrounded by scum of the earth foreigners who liked being overcharged for shit food and clubs
Go to Hongdae if you're under 30 and actually want to have fun
Gangnam is nice, I live there, go to garosugil (가로수길) for nice hipster vibe.
Live Octopus in gangnam if you feel like it
Avoid all bread and western style food it's all utter shit

>삼통치킨
>Samtong Chicken
Why did you feel the need to do that?

Because the sign isn't always written in English but if you can't read Korean it's helpful to know how to pronounce it
Me, too, actually. Staying for 6 months. You got a throwaway mail, OP? Lets grab a bite

Get some chitlins and collard greens. They're Seoul food classics.

not remotely interested in clubs. only there for a week so will hit a few restaurants every evening then maybe a bar or two and bed early so I can explore the next day.
I do like spicy food but only to a point. last time I went to a korean restaurant they let me choose how spicy I wanted my food from 1-5. I went for 3 and it was really fucking spicy. almost to my limit for enjoying food rather than enduring it.
all suggestions so far noted. not sure about live octopus. had a raw squid tentacle once and it was impossible to chew. not pleasant. japs I know said it was the one thing I had to try however.
any breakfast/lunch foods? most of the famous dinner dishes are pretty well known.

Bibimbap is good for lunch
Try bingsu, go to a nice place though, Seolbing (설빙) is pretty good, it's a dessert though but nice
Also I can recommend a Korean Style buffet, an upmarket place where you can sample lots of things, name is 계절밥상 (gyejeolbabsang) and p. f-ing good
