In France we have a bunch:

>Flan pâtissier.
Uses shortcrust pastry or not, usually thick, cake/tart like texture/shape.

>Flaugnarde.
Apple flan, delicious.

>Far breton.
From my region, prunes flavored, really thick.

>Clafoutis.
Flan tart with cherries, this will get you pussy.

>Flan au coco.
Fucking awesome too, from Caribbean origins, has air whisked in it, so very light, usually caramelized coconut bits/bottom, this will also get you pussy if she like exotic stuff.

>Crème renversée, or crème caramel.
As close to what everyone on this board expects a flan to look like, upside down with caramel sauce on top.

>Fian, or fion.
Close to the original recipes because it's laurel flavored (yeah not kidding, vanilla wasn't even discovered) and with thick shortcrust pastry.
