/ck/ I am going to order Chinese takeout. What should I get? I have no budget. I don't like broccoli or peppers. I have never done this before.

You sound like a picky eater, so sesame chicken or fried rice.
Follow up- how have you never ordered chinese food before?

I'm not Chinese. But it always looked good.

Spring Rolls
Salt & Chilli Chicken
General Tsao or Sweet & Sour Pork
Try paper chicken if they got it.
Chowmein and BBQ pork
mongolian beef no onions
> Slice chicken
> Pour corn syrup and soy sauce on it
Wala,
I saved you monies

Pretty much this, but with sugar as well.
Most Chinese take out is like Subway: they give you the impression of there being slightly different flavors and textures, but at the end of the day it all just tastes like generic meat/veggie/noodle in generic sweet-salty-cornstarch laden sauce.
I haven't had the desire for Chinese food in over a year. When people post pictures of the lowest of the low like panda express I vomit a little in my mouth.

>not grabbing the gang & a metric fuckton of shitty chinese
>not yelling at the one asshole who cant wait to get his grubby little paws over the fried rice to get out of the damn bag dickhead
>not driving up to the top of some hill at 9:30 to watch the sunset turn to starlight & chow on some artery clogging goodness
>not yelling at each other to quit bogarting the chow mein & talking for hours about the meaning of existence like any of you know shit about the universe
>not sharing a flask on a mountain with three other assholes with whom you wouldnt dare to forgo staying in touch, no matter where you end up scraping together a living
mate
but admittedly panda is the shittiest of the shit

>artery clogging goodness
I have no problem with any of that, even the artery clogging part... it's just not good, and these days there are so many better take out options. Chinese food is more often than not bland, just shovel it down type food, and I personally feel like I've grown out of that - at least if I'm leaving the house and paying for someone else to prepare my meal.
