NO ONE drinks rum and worries about sugar. It's a sugar drink. If you are overly worried about your carbs or your hangovers, and you drink like a fish, you switch to vodka and lighten up your mixers. It's as simple as that.

I'm actually surprised at how little sugar is in a lot of those.
1-8 grams per litre is nothing when Coke has 108g per litre.

I'm curious if there's actually any good rum, as in stuff you could drink without mixing.
I get it's made from sugar, but do they all just taste like syrup or should I give up?

Did the math, at that amount of sugar per liter, each shot contains 2.05 grams of added sugar which is barely anything. Given the great taste of this rum I have to say it's pretty good! I still don't believe it's really aged 12 years but for 30 bucks you can definitely sip it. Anyone else have any good sipping runs or tequilas to suggest?
