I don't enjoy Steve Vai tier, guitar masturbation type stuff, but respect the guy as a musician. I remember reading a Frank Zappa bio where they said Zappa would record every performance and hired Vai as his bitch to relisten to the recordings and transcribe every single solo by ear.

Jeff Beck is god tier. He never gained to fame of a couple other Yardbirds guitarists, but he's actually got a unique style and a little bit of soul to his music, unlike these G3 punks (plus he got that qt teen bass player).
