I got this sambal from Holland that was sweet and had fried onions in it.

It said "sambal oelek" on the label but anything else I've had called "sambal oelek" was the raw kind of sambal.

can confirm, ramen spot in town makes their own version of this and i went through a 3 month stretch of using it on/in everything. Come to think of it, I'm going to go down there tomorrow and buy some more.
