What does /ck/ think of the George Foreman grill? Innovative

Somewhat convenient in certain situations, but I prefer to be in control of how much fat I'm using.

Makes life easy. I had an old small grill and it would cook sausages perfectly, with no effort.

Decided to upgrade to a much bigger one. Needs so much oil to not intently burn anything I put in and never cooks very well.. not happy with this new one really. I always end up with a dry crispy or burned outside but undercooked centre.


They're a mixed bag I guess. Only use ones with a temperature control.

I use the Foreman a few times a week. Convienient for a quick sausage or turkey burger.

They're great for when I was in college, just make sure you clean it soon after using. It's really a bitch to clean. Also make the best grilled cheese or toasted sammiches, the texture can't be replicated on a panini press.

just get an electric skillet

My old roommate bought a George Foreman grill, used it twice and then never touched it again. When they moved out they left it here so I started using it.
It's alright for a quick burger or something like zucchini. It's annoying to clean though.
