How thoroughly do you wash/scrub your potatoes if you're making crashed potatoes?
>>

I rinse them under cold water and scrub them with my hands. Little bit of minerals won't hurt.
>>
>>7553962
just Peel them
>>
>>7553962
I put them in the drivers seat.

I just peel them, cut them into eights, put them in cold water, rinse that out, then put them in the pot.
>>

This.

You don't need to do much more.
>>
I use a scrub brush I only use on vegetables, then just cut off the bad bits. No peeling but I mostly use thin skinned Yukon gold potatoes

No.

You soak them in warm/hot water to loosen the skin, then peel them. Any water will do for the potato, but cold water will give you arthritis.

Rule #1 of potatoes is 'do not eat the skin'. Rule #2 is 'do not eat them raw'.

Disable airbags
Unbuckle seat belt
Drive erratically at high speed

Is this bongspeak?

I wash them with my hands under warm water until they look pretty clean. I don't spend too much time washing them at all. When I was on the primal kick, they promoted buying organic/local produce and minimally washing it with the intention of digesting healthy minerals found in soil. Now, I just wash my produce so that gritty dirt isn't the forefront in my meals.
>>
I have one of those nail scrubbers that I use for my potatoes.
I scrub until the nail scrubber isn't black.
>>
>>7553969
I wash them for at least an our them let them soak in a strong bleach solution overnight.
