is there any kind of bread I can make without an oven? I thought I could make fry bread, but I looked at some recipes and I can't really do any deep frying either.
>>
flat breads are cooked on a hot skillet (or a flat rock that you heat up in a fire)
>>
Look up rice maker bread
>>
I made bread in my microwave once.

I don't have a rice cooker either

is that like a tortilla? I made those once but it's not what I'm trying to make. I'm planning on making soup this weekend and I need some kind of bread to go with it.

Try naan if you want something a little thicker. Just tear some chunks off for dipping in your soup.
>>
bread needs good radiant heat and steam preferably. you're gonna need an oven I think
>>

You can make pita bread, naan or whatever kind of flat bread.

Are you a fucking hobo?

Fuck. Get a rice cooker. They're $15 and worth every bit.

Or at least a toaster oven.
>>

I thought you made that with a big stone oven

If he is going to buy electronics, might as well buy a bread machine because it is what OP wanted in the first place.

Can you cook rice in a bread machine?

Yeah those tandoor ovens, but it doesn't really matter. I've always used this recipe.

You can make an inbread with your sister
>>
Dig a hole. Burn wood in it. Cover it. Free oven.

Bread machines are shit compared to getting something that can serve many purposes. Especially if OP doesn't have a oven or a home.

Fucking hobo hippies.
>>
if you are a hobo with electricity there are microwave/hotplate/oven combos for about 75 bucks out there -worth every penny

Check out the double act.

You can make toasted bao/mantou in a dry pan with a lid on. I expect you could use this technique for some breads too.
