Why do Americans hate broccoli so much? I mean it's like a irl meme in films and tv shows
Do you like eat it raw and not cooked and that's why it doesn't taste good?

They naturally lack the sugar/high fructose corn syrup Americans require to satisfy their palate.

I'm American and I can attest to this. I need a high amount of sugar even though I'm diabetic.
I'd blame bad cooking. Boiling any vegetable until it's olive green with little or no seasoning will ruin it. It seems to be this afterthought side in an attempt to create a healthy well-rounded meal.
>we have meat and potatoes
>need something green to complete
>end of thought
>>7223104
But you can literally not go wrong with just boiling it with salt. It's literally delicious

Opinion disregarded.

Found the American

I'm American and broccoli is my favorite cruciferous vegetable
because bedbugs and aids live in those little storage crevices

Could we not talk about Americans for once?
Just once?

>it's like a irl meme in films and tv shows
>thinks film and tv accurately reflect American culture
Well there's your problem right there...
Let me tell you about my first and last experience with broccoli
>Be me, 23 years old born and raised in the grand old USA
>Drink a 12 pack of mountain dew every day (2 of them on weekends)
>Average daily meals consist of $40-60 dollars worth of pizza hut and mcDonalds
>Lived like this my whole life, I know nothing else
>One day, a week or two after my twelfth heart attack
>Doctor tells me I won't live 6 more months at this rate
>This means I won't live to see Chick-Fil-A open in my city
>Unacceptable.jpeg
>Vow to eat a broccoli every day to satisfy retarded homo doctor
>Look all around grocery store, where the fuck do they keep broccoli anyway?
>Finally found it sitting on some shelf
>Why the fuck is all this broccoli wet?
>Wheel my hoveround to nearest employee
>demand she give me dryer broccoli as is my constitutional right
>Sir there's nothing wrong with it, there's misters built into the shelves
>Pull out my smith and wessons and start firing into the air until the manager comes around
>He leaves and brings back some broccoli that wasn't dredged up from the bottom of a river
>Finally get home and smother the broccoli in canned nacho cheese and ranch dressing
>Take a moment to say grace, thanking jesus for blessing me with this food
>Try to take a bite
>The flavor is terrible, like someone mixed satan's semen with grass clippings
>How can something be crunchy without being deep fried
>Throw the unholy green abomination in the trash
>Throw up for 2 or 3 hours, and I lose 10 pounds
>still at 490lbs
>Managed to live to see Chick-Fil-A anyway
>Doctors don't know shit
Why eurofags would willingly put that in their mouth just goes to show why we're a super power

Nice piece of green text.
Be me, 22, eat nothing but fast food.
Have pain in chest with coughing.
Take expectorant when necessary.
Excessively excercise two miles a day.
Sweat so much I need a cold bath.
Be non-vegetarian as a adult.
Doctor doesn't put me on diet restrictions.

Honestly, I eat it raw, just doesn't taste as good if raw. Cook it if you don't like it raw.
>>7223142
Are Americans really this self conscious?
>>7223067
we are feminism ground zero
feminists first goal was the destruction of the family unit. easiest way to do that was to prevent parents teaching life skills to children, like cooking
as a result, you have 2 generations now of people not being taught to cook properly, leaving these poor souls to struggle through preparing their own food. food that isnt naturally delicious without proper preparation is then seen as gross and hated.
foods like broccoli and brussels sprouts go incorrectly made an entire persons life and they never realize how good it actually is
also raw broccoli is disgusting
>>7223203
>also raw broccoli is disgusting
End yourself. It's the perfect thing to use to add a little crunch to a fresh salad. Better than fucking croutons.
Ameri"fat" here, beeteedubya.
>>7223206
fuck no
it burns my mouth and tastes like shit. if you want crunch, use fresh lettuce, carrot or celery
>or broccoli, idgaf what you do
>>7223208
>burns my mouth
Top heh.
>>7223202
Are Europeans this obsessed?
Honestly it's amazing in any kind of gravy or sauce and absorbs flavour extremely well. It's also full of glutamates which lends itself especially well to savoury dishes. How are most americans introduced to it though? Is it just boiled and slammed on a plate with meat?
>>7223067
I never hated them, even if cooked wrong.
