Of the six classic German beers (Paulaner, Spaten, Augustiner, Hacker-Pschorr, Lowenbrau, and Hofbrau), which is your favorite?
Pic related. I have a devil of a time finding it though.
>>7210118
Hofbrau
>>7210118
>tfw like dark, malty Spaten
>tfw can only really have one over an hour or two period because of how strong it is
Franziskaner
>>7210118
>which is your favorite?
Polish-American here, and I don't drink German beer (or Russian vodka).
>>7210118
who said those were the six classic german beers? sounds more like the six biggest munich beers.
>>7210265
Then why did you post in this thread?
>>7210281
munich = germany
>>7210118
Augustiner is without question the best beer you will get in munich. Locals there will agree.
>>7210300
this looks different from what's in OP. abv is different anyway
>>7210306
That's the bottle you'll get here in Germany. Don't know if the taste is any different though.
>>7210299
los angeles = usa ???
What about Weihenstephaner?
I live in Munich and all six of them taste like piss.
>>7210335
goat tier
>>7210300
>the best beer you will get in munich
Is that supposed to be a boast?
>>7210300
This is all I drank in Berlin, I hate beer most of the time, tolerate is a better word, regardless, I could drink this all day long. I cant find it in America and it pisses me off
From that list, Paulaner.
Schneider & Sohne are my favorite German brewers though.
>>7210169
I agree with this
>>7210353
no it's true. the only drinkable helles beer in munich.
>>7210395
Ah I see, so it's more like "Sadly, this is the best beer you'll drink in Munich"? Having just got back from that dump, that seems accurate.
>>7210391
schneider is quite alright
paulaner however is not
if you wanted great german beer, you'd try dortmunder kronen pils, or flensburger, or köstritzer schwarzbier
>>7210299
this but even in germany few beers are better than Augustiner-brau
>>7210467
>few
That's a funny way of writing 'lots of'. Augustiner is just a fucking meme.
>>7210486
I'll place it against any other helles, pils or kolsch you have to offer, if you want to move into the doppelbock or altbier territory I may reconsider, but not likely
I like a Heineken. Surprised that nobody has mentioned it ITT.
>>7210538
They're talking about German beers.
