i don't know about anyone else but organic preference due to taste preference isn't elitist at all. you want a better product, you pay more money for it. it's not even that much more expensive. i guess if you refused to eat regular eggs at a restaurant or dinner party, THEN i would consider you elitist.

I bought organic milk once and it tasted like regular milk. I also bought goat milk, which tasted like regular milk. And soy milk which tasted like water. All of these things also cost me more than regular milk so I'm not convinced it isn't everybody's imagination and trying to rationalize their expensive placebo beverages.

I poach very egg I cook, and I do a shitty job of it because my eggs are always weeks old.
Poaching eggs that are old is taboo as fuck because they don't hold well in the water and vinegar you heat in the pan.

It's not the fact they treat animals better, it's the fact most animals that are treated better and are raised in a healthy environment tend to have more nutritional value in their food and taste better.

I only buy local products. Not because they're supposed to be better or whatever, but I always try to support local businesses before anyone else.
