Are there any microwavable foods that can actually compete with cooked foods?
>>
If there were, nobody would bother cooking food.

Microwave a potato. There, it's kind of like a baked potato but faster.

I think that's the closest it gets
>>
microwaved leftover pizza is pretty good. but the pizza had to be cooked in a real oven first.

also reheated lasagne. hnng.
>>
Boiling water and certain steamed shit (because it doesn't make any difference).
>>
Tesco microwave chicken tikka masala is better than most restaurant versions

This, it's a lot better than a lot of restaurant lasagna, fancy or not.
>>
I think some of the "Amy's" frozen entrees could compete, though I've always made them in a microwave oven not a microwave. And they are about 5 dollars each...
>>
This is also a lot better than what a lot of hoity toit restaurants serve.

frozen fried rice is pretty dank
>>
boston market frozen meals are pretty goat
>>
I had a teacher who was a food chemist or some shit that companies would go to when they wanted to make frozen or shelf stable products

she says, yes frozen meals can absolutely be just as good as fresh cooked meals. However the technology involved in mass producing such a thing would make the price point too high to be worth it. so instead you get freezer burned salt bombs.
>>
>>7101604
how much more would it cost though? There could be a market for more "upscale" TV dinners, like with the current trend of fast casual places like Chipotle, Smashburger, etc.
>>
>>7101213
microwave is cooked.

We haven't owned an oven for over 4 years, wasn't one or room for one in the place we moved into. Have saved so much time and it really tastes about the same anyway.
>>
>>7101604
Chemists are a dime a dozen and you have follow the money, always follow the money. Find one that sais one thing where marketing is involved and you'll find another that sais something else.

Can I sell you some magic potions?
