Cream sherry is good stuff,

Good cheap stuff, tasty and good for cooking

Agree

Normally I prefer sherry to port, port can be a bit too rich for me sometimes.

Amontillado is pretty good and you can reference Poe like an autist

alcohol is the opposite of degenerate. Alcohol abstainers are almost always the worst people, usually crazy religious fanatics
>>
Gotta say some port is pretty horrible. Definitely has a spectrum like all the other booze. Never buy Virginian port. Not that I like the wine either, but some people do like it.

Why would you ever buy non Portuguese port, or non Spanish sherry?

For the love of God, Montressor! Keep your spaghetti in your pockets!

I like to substitute Port for Sweet Vermouth in Manhattans and other cocktails.

Anybody ever try to make some of their own?

Sometimes I drizzle port over vanilla ice cream.

Some would call it a waste. I call it delicious.
