Honestly, it isn't very hard
Just pay attention to you seams, making sure the edge of your fabric is consistently at whatever measurement you put it away from the foot (there are little rulers on the machine). Keeping your hemming parallel isn't hard as it seems. It's actually hard to fuck up as bad as Miss Shittyholic. Also, consistently trimming your treads and taking note of what tension level works well with your fabric helps.
