Question for anyone making 2B's dress: how are you getting in and out of it? Where are you adding a zipper? I'm having trouble deciding where I want to add a closure without it being obstructive of some design and still be mostly functional.

For mine I have a zipper and hook and eye closure from the side of the collar to the shoulder, and another zipper from the waist to the armpit. I have the skirt removable via velcro as I figured it would be the quickest way to get it on and off.

I have a zipper back and the back design snaps in as well as part of the collar. It is a pain in the but to get into but it will work to stay true to the design.

I know what it looks like anon, I've made it myself. If you want to rig it canonically with only the string physics aren't going to be perfect and it's going to appear sloppy. I do think you're right on the bottom trim though, it does only emulate the shape of what her outfit does. It's not perfect and definitely a nitpick when so many other Kaine outfits don't come even close.

I've been doing extensive analysis of the costume and have learned a lot of great things about how it should be made from this.

Not every person asking dumb questions in here is making the cosplay for themselves. Some of us were just asked to make 2b's cosplay or sword. I know the person I am making the costume for is also commissioning the sword and they didn't specify which sword they want. They left it up to the commissioner to decide and choose.

Currently in the process of making Operator 210's B model armor.
I haven't made her body suit yet though because I'm still trying to decide what to use for the lace parts of her leggings/sleeves.
Would it be tacky of me to go for a more modern lacey/tulle?
I only ask because I have no idea how I'd be able to print out a custom pattern of the specific lace the operators use. Especially since I can't get custom prints on tulle and I'd prefer to have something see through than an actual opaque fabric.

You're not going to get enough security out of tulle, it doesn't stretch well and rips very easily.

One approach get a pre-made sheer black bodystocking (might need to get the top and tights separately bc of the neckline), and then get a pre-made fishnet bodystocking like this to put on top. You can attach the smaller diamonds to the cross sections somehow if you feel that you need more accuracy.

Which is sad because 9S and most of 2B looks decent/good (at least the little I can see behind all those filters).
If anything, I would also mention 2B's wig: it shouldn't have the curl at the bottom. But that's a pretty small detail, compared to those gloves and boots.

About the material, pic related is the best reference I could get in game. Matte stretch vinyl sounds like a good material.

I thought it was a bit underwhelming too. Did she use paint or soutache to make the hem design? I can't tell from the photo, but the lines look a bit wobbly. The suede doesn't look terrible, but it seems like it would be too hot and heavy.

I managed to find the perfect fabric at the store the other day: low pile velvet, 100% cotton and the price was decent. After seeing that fabric and looking at this dress, I can definitely see why velvet looks a bit better than suede.

I'm pretty sure from what both N:A and the YoRHa stage play has shown us about the Resistance camp, that after A2's team discovered them even, that the bunker skimped out on supplies when it came to them, despite the fact that the Commander wanted them to work together in the stage play. The "rags" are due to the Resistance camp being described to fixing themselves with random parts and "decaying" from time (also shown with A2's lack of clothing and her greying artificial skin).

I didn't knew about the resistance being found by A2's team. I somehow assumed they were old deprecated androids abandoned in Earth by YoRHa under the excuse of creating support bases for the new numbered ones.
It does make sense that YoRHa didn't wanted to support unknown androids without the backdoor that could easily get out of their control.

Does anyone have a link to a decent pattern that can be used for 9S's coat, or provide any info as to how to construct the panels and attaching them to each other? It's really tripping me up because I'm hoping to have them be lined. I suck shit at drafting patterns so I'm totally lost.
