I've personally see one or two shops already advertising 11.11 sales by switching their item listing images to have the little 11.11 banner in the corner and in the next 2-3 weeks most stores should be doing the same and they might even have the "Sort only 11.11 sales" option in the search rolled out as well.

It sounds like you can maybe submit the cart ahead of time but they still want you to pay on 11/11 which is.. frankly, ridiculous. It would take up a bunch of time and even though some sellers start before and run over 11/11, that's going to still cause some issues.

11.11 anon here! It should really depend on the shop because some shops will go ahead and put out their sale prices early while others won't roll out the prices until the day of. The bulk of the sale purchases won't happen until after midnight China time though.

Think of it like Black Friday (if you're American) in that some shops will have their sales early so you can buy whenever you want but most people line up ready to buy the moment prices on store items officially get lowered at midnight.

That's not even an issue. An issue is when they send you the wrong thing, or only send half of your items, and you have to go ask the seller where the other half is or to exchange the items. I had a seller send out one cosplay in three different packages before, but only give me the tracking number for one. Good luck to you if you think you can manage to fix that situation with no understanding of chinese; even with fluent chinese, it took forever to fix.

Avoid anything starting with 圈圈定制 if you don't want to buy 100% replicas. They're upfront about it which is rare and good, but still.

The rest of the store are so called factory leftover imperfect stocks, while some may be, same styles are also available in 100 other taobao shops so there's good chance they're also knock offs.

But as I said items with the above wording are the ones they made themselves and I personally would avoid because they used many lolita prints and I'm a lolita

I've never ordered off Taobao before and have read the FAQ. How can I see what shipping methods the seller offers? I only want to buy one single $38 item off Taobao, and according to shipping calculator in OP, the cost via Air Mail is $21, so I'd much rather have slow sea shipping if it's offered.

Zhongshan was doing well at one time, but on occasion is over weighing/overcharge for shipping.
After speaking with customer service, I learned that they cannot change the weight once it's been entered into your account.... so if its wrong...meh.
This has only happened to me once, and I overpaid about $10.

JCEX shipping is something similar to USPS E-packet (7-9 days)
Zhongshan uses mainly DHL (to the USA at least).

My biggest issue with the forwarder was that on two of my orders one item each had arrived at their office but never updated for literally weeks. Mysteriously, they both became updated as soon as I'd paid for shipping for the rest of the things. The timing made me feel like they were trying to make me pay for shipping twice each time/trying to make my warehouse days run out for the rest of the things? I don't know.

Sailor hats aren't really common even in summer (not a lot of girls buy them, so not a lot of sellers make them), but at least summer is when some brands make sailor dresses and will make some limited numbers of sailor hats to match. You'll have better luck either waiting for next summer, or going through secondhand markets instead.

yoooo I promised to do a review of Mousita shit a long time ago so here I am. I ordered that one flowery skirt that went up on Lolita Updates, as well as a blouse.

skirt, pic related - I'd say it's solidly made, the only real weak point is the zipper which is just kinda shit. I have to zip the skirt up 3/4 of the way with the zipper on my stomach, and then shimmy it around my body and finish zipping. this would be less of a problem if it didn't run a little small/very true to size - it fits me, but just barely. I might also have to re-sew the buttons since they're sewn in real loosely and might come off quite easily.
I also got two safety pin-backed bows with it, one of either fabric the skirt's made out of. not really sure what to do with them, I guess they could almost function as headbows if I found some way to put them in my hair? also also, since I preordered, I got one of the bracelets as a gift. I chose the white one with a ring, and it's just about what you'd expect from a free gift - nothing amazing, but it looks alright and hasn't fallen apart yet.

blouse - I don't have anything to complain about with the blouse, really. it fits truer to size than the skirt, but I guess the measurements are just a little strange in that they sit on me a bit oddly. this came with a jabot which I don't know how to tie so I better figure that shit out soon.. the buttons are also a lot sturdier on here, they look kinda glassy and sparkly, and I like them. definitely superior to bodyline for example, the fabric is already nicer.

to add on to the skirt, the fabrics used are nice - the top fabric is lovely chiffon that's printed well, the ruffle fabric is a bit weirder with its 3d patterny things, but it doesn't exactly feel bad on my skin or anything (and I'm picky about fabrics).

overall positive feelings for the brand, I guess. everything fits right about as it should, it's pretty hecking cheap and it's all constructed pretty well (okay except the fucking zipper choice).

I ordered some angel wings and swords. They bubble wrapped the shit out of the swords and shipped it as a single packaged, which made it really expensive. With the wings, they were able to fold then in half and put then in card board box the width of a book and slipped it into my bigger box order.

Like I have lots of stuff on my list now which some of them are already heavily discounted, but I don't know if it's because 11.11 is coming soon or if it's just generally discounted so they can get rid of their stuff.
