no. you could cam for more. if you want to get into sex work, go for it. but that is a shit price if you think about it (consider splitting that 200 into hours worked on the costume, travel, actual time for the shoot, etc... not to mention its sex work so it /should/ pay well, but you should also factor in the cost for reputation all risk)

- Travel and other expenses will come out of that $200

This is WHEN it goes LIVE on the site. That can mean you put out 3 sets to be accepted, 2 get accepted, but its a span of 5 months between them before they get posted. That's $400 once every 5 months.

Thats funny. Most of them are, but a lot of them are super catty. Especially when they have a set that really takes off. Example is EnvyUs Cosplay. No one likes her anymore over at CosplayDeviants because of the huge bitch she turned in to after her Velma set and then her less popular Hanji Zoe set.

Most of the models don't have CosplayDeviants as a career. Unless you are actually a part of the company where you are involved with actual website and marketing, you get shit pay. Most of the models who work on there and have a good living are also successful in actual modeling as well. Otherwise it is just a voyeuristic hobby for the rest with a touch of cosplay thrown in.

No. They don't. They aren't even considered porn because they don't touch genitals or do spreads. Its pretty much nude pinup if you really want to give it a name, but I call it just nude photography. Nerdy nude photography. At the actual events they have poles to dance on, but thats mostly just for the models who know how to use the poles to dance on. Guests are also allowed to play on those and usually it turns into a trick party to see who can do the coolest tricks on them. Some people who aren't Deviants are actually pretty fucking good. Its the illusion of a strip club without the actual strip club.

What happens if you apply. You fill out a form that asks for your real name and what your alias is. You put down why you want to be a model, how long you have been cosplaying, what inspired you to want to apply. Then they request 3 photos. Preferably 2 involving some sort of nudity, but they request to not see only torso shots, but body shots.

They will send you an email, I think it is Madison and Bear who do the emails now, telling you whether you are accepted or not. Once accepted you are called a 'Potential Deviant'. You go on their site, sign in with your free 3 month trial, and you can edit your model page which will state you are a Deviant for 3 months.

Once you submit a set and it is accepted [prepare to wait several weeks, even a month or two during this time] to see if you got a set accepted. If it is accepted your account become permanent. You only have to have one set accepted to have full access to the entire site for the rest of the site's existence. You do not have to continue to submit sets in order to stay a Deviant. A lot of models have used this just to gain access to the website. It is recommended you submit several sets at a time during your potential in order to increase your chances of at least one being accepted. If you do one at a time you might not hear back in time before your 3 month trial runs out.

I feel bad for the male models. A lot of their sets do NOT get accepted unless you are jacked. I repeat, you MUST be jacked to be accepted as a male model. The women can be flabby and shit, however, they are very picky as far as any male model potentials are concerned. If you do not look like Chris Hemsworth without a shirt on, don't bother applying. You won't be accepted. They don't accept fem looking men and they do not accept female to male dressed as females and vice versa. They also do not accept traps unless the character itself IS a trap. It also cannot be a young looking character either, but there is a loophole where if the character is young, but acts adult in mannerisms in the medium it is being cosplayed, that is okay.

Their rules are honestly garbage. I think that if you are going to accept fat, flabby women like image related, you should accept men regardless of their bodies too.

SwimsuitSuccubus makes 5k a month never getting nude and only wearing swimsuits and lingerie. She also sells sets for $10 each and I saw her post a limitided addition set with 100 downloads on twitter and it sold out in a day.
