Menhera/gurokawa is a whole different ballgame though. The only thing that ties them together is the theme of horror. It's like you're trying to shove lolita into a historical reenactment thread just because the dresses share a similar silhouette. I ordered this Jsk and did a review. I had to have her completely remake the dress for me.

It really sucks. She had fantastic designs and ideas and concepts, just the execution is lacking.
I don't think she sells her dresses outside of friend groups anymore because of it.

I have the Asylum JSK and I really love it, but I will say that I was disappointed in it for the price. (It was like $170~180 after shipping, if I remember correctly)

Here's the cons:
-The ties on the front were falling off like crazy from just trying it on. Before I ever wore it out, I had to sew them all down.
-The skirt is really short and you had no option to lengthen it; it's too short for a normal petti, so I have to wear it with a cheap shitty one.
-The overall pattern she made was pretty bad; super blocky and unflattering. I'm the person in >>9012296 and you can see that I had to belt it to give it any shape. I can't wear it without a belt, though I'm considering making waist-ties for it to try and fix that.
-The print WILL TRANSFER AND CANNOT GET WET. It transferred onto a super nice white JSK I had in my closet just from being stored next to it and I flipped a shit over that. Just from wear, you can see spots on the print where drops of water touched it at some point (maybe from washing my hands or something) and the colors are bleeding out.
-No lining

But, there are pros:
-The print is SUPER clear and detailed in person; has been quite a hit wherever I've worn it
-The material choice was good; feels very high quality
-Construction overall was good, aside from the tie issue. Could be better, but you could see it's handmade and I like that.

I've pretty much come to terms with this being a rough-and-tough never resell dress, but if I knew the issues before purchasing, I may not have done it. It's still a very worn piece for me, though.

If I could get my hands on the Orphanage print, though, I'd gladly do so, because I love her ideas and prints so much, even if I have to work on them a bit before I can wear them.

I didn't know about the transferring or wet part. I haven't worn mine out yet. Maybe I can see if I can find a spray fabric sealant that might fix it before it even becomes a problem. But I did know the printing looked hazy and not a crisp, but I just figured that was part of the "old" look to it.

When she remade it for me I specifically asked for her to make it longer, she never told me "it's not possible" and when I got the new one it was barely any bit longer. (I'm guessing the bolt length couldn't accommodate that).

But yep, seems like we have the same thoughts and feelings about this brand.

Yeah, I first noticed the print issue after I got home the night of the first wear. I looked at it and couldn't figure out if the shadow around the print pieces was like that or not when I first got it, but once I saw points of ink expansion where water droplets had been, I knew it was the ink moving around. I'll have to try a sealant spray as well; I didn't think of that. Thanks!

I believe it said that it couldn't be made longer on the original listing, but I never thought anything of it, desu. I did expect it to be longer, though, more like standard lolita length.
