A thing I was curious about: how big is the fanbase in Europe? I would love (randomly) meeting some other fans at local conventions, but everyone in the threads seems to talk about American based conventions.

Group anon/ napstablook maker here, today is the day!

It ended up being too hot for my boyfriend to wear the asriel fursuit, but someone will be sharing a box mettaton so no one stays without a costume the whole day.

I'll dump pictures later if everyone allows it, it's the first big undertale meeting in my country.

I'm filled with determination.

The colour sprite is simplified, perhaps because the lines would be too fine so they were omitted? If you look at her in battle and with the shoulder-up ones, there definitely seem to be lines on her dress. It doesn't look like an outline either because of the neck area and the area of her legs right after the dress.

Based on the pic you posted, I'm thinking we share the same idea of where the "true" outline of the dress is. I picture it kinda like this. Same anon that's been replying, but basically don't worry. I'm not trying to argue it, it's just you seem pretty passionate about hating people that put lines when... It's a very common way of interpreting the sprite. Unless Toby specified that there are no lines, I feel like since there ARE lines there in the more detailed battle sprite (but lacking colour) people are going to draw/cosplay her with the lines. There's no reason to get so worked up about it.

So I planned on using Mehron's metallic powder + mixing liquid for Mettaton, but I kind of want to make it lighter. Will it mix with white liquid paint nicely? Has anyone tried it?

This is me haha. I agree that my facial expression looks like shit. I practiced it in the mirror but as the con went on my face warped into this cringe fest. The costume itself was rushed and I had completely forgotten to make flowey's face before I left. There really is no excuse for how shitty this costume is and I'll probably never wear it again. ALA Undertale meet was a fucking trainwreck. Host took too long talking and was super disorganized. Clearly, they didn't expect such a big turnout, but it was handled very poorly. It was Homestuck all over again. I hoped for more, but expected nothing less.

Another Finlandfag here, most cosplays at Frostbite were low effort and sorta shitty, but not too cringy. That's probably because it was a R18 con, the cancer is most likely going to explode once Yukicon rolls around and all underaged kids show up.

dont know whether to have a hole in a cap and a bun of hair sticking out to attach it to or what, or if I used that technique if id be able to just use a wrap or clip in pony tail

That's the sticky situation. He for sure doesn't want merchandise like plushies and shirts being sold. Anything that can be passed off as official merchandise that is massed produced is a no-no. I think the catch is mass production. Commissions aren't mass produced, that's why they're okay.
There was another post he made about turning down a licensing offer from Hot Topic because he absolutely did not want mass production.

Conventions, while hardly "mass", still involve selling multiples of the same thing.

I know not many people would care but the Brazilian undertale meet went pretty good. Many of the people there were first time cosplayers so there weren't many high quality costumes and some were put together last minute, but everyone was pretty chill.
We had about 20 people and we ended up taking over the abandoned homestuck room, since we're hue many stupid pictures and post-event autistic memes happened.

There was this really cute girl as Chara, I think she was really young since she had her mom with her, she was really shy too, but she mustered courage to ask where I got my resin heart. I ended up giving her a extra I had in my bag, it was cool seeing her wear it to the other day of con too.

Nothing bad happened, but no one recognized us either. We made a Facebook chat and I will help everyone upgrade their costumes till the next con.

I looked online first for the cheapest outside cans. For like home depot it should give you the height. After you have a general idea of the one you want I do recommend going in store and just eyeing it to confirm it fits your needs.

I mean you could just go and hop in them but make sure you bring a friend to help you in and out of them. Also try not to give the employees heart attacks.

For reference I got my trash can at Lowe's for about $13. It's about 2 ft tall but works fine since I'm only 5'3".

Here, have this shitty drawing I did in snapchat. Would've given you something better, but I'm on mobile so here's the general gist.
I would start with a long sleeve black shirt first. The hot pink are strips of metallic silver fabric. I was thinking you could sew these strips onto the sleeve, but leave it a tiny bit separated, which the blue represents, so you can see the black underneath. I think this would give it a more 'robotic' feel because it would like like the arm is a little separated and could be dismantled into parts.
I hope this helps somehow, I could get paper and draw it out more clearly, but I'm no where near anything useful right now.

I like certain decisions on here (love black Papyrus and Sans) but for god's sake it's OKAY for some of them to be white.
