What the hell? Where did you all go?
Anyways is anyone planning on getting swankiss's lucky pack? I might ...

I've already ordered it! I'm so excited! I could do an unboxing when it comes

I'm going to get it, I can't say no to that bag.

To the anon that posted their outfits >>8738152

You look really great. I think if you wanted to enhance the larme vibe even further, you could use sheer socks and pair them with block heels or wedges.

I kinda like the lolita bag with the outfits, the slight oversized look is really cute I think. No harm in picking up some more accessories though that are perhaps more typically larme so you can mix 'n match a bit.

Do you need to wear glasses regularly anon? I'm not suggesting you should get new frames for the sake of fashion (yours are fine), but if you want to wear the larme style more regularly and were thinking of buying another pair anyway, it might be worth looking back through the archives etc for the really cute frames that have been featured in the magazine.
>>
>>8738526
If anyone doesn't want that bag, i need it in my life..

dang this girl is cute
>>

a-at least i can still plan cute coords...
>>
>>8738964
>tfw you will never look as cute as half these girls cause you have really shitty thin hair.

wigs are an option but man.. it's too depressing
>>
>>8738964
dat feel anon

I never used to think I had an ugly jawline but then I kept seeing images of kawaii j-girls with tiny pointed chins and now I feel like a horse-faced female Leno.

I keep fantasizing about looking like an entirely different person. Way to get my priorities straight.
>>
>>8738988
>tfw you're barely able to fit these cute clothes
I feel like a bloated muffin anons. I ordered the swankiss lp but i might be pushing it.
It's time to lose weight ;_;
>>
>>8738998
tiny chins look awful on white girl faces though. You just end up looking like a piece of inbred trailer trash with a shitty receding jawline when you have a really tiny chin as a white chick
>>
>>8738526
I want it but I'm so impatient and hate to think about spending $200 on an item i won't see till next year.
>>
>>8738988
Me too :( desu I've been going a long time without washing it and keeping it tied up in buns a lot, so when i take it down its fluffy and voluminous. Only lasts a little while but that's all I need to take some pictures hahaha...
>>
>>8738988
My hair is really thin too and super straight (plus man-jaw) - so much for 'create volume with curls at the sides to add width to a long face'.

I do find though that wearing clip in bangs with longer side sections makes a big difference - I already have bangs but you can still clip them over the top, it makes my hair look a lot thicker plus it's a lot less hassle than a wig and looks natural >>8719374
>>
>>8738197
the voiceover for that video is so cringe I can't even listen to it
>>
>>8739015
yeah, i'm manly jaw anon from further up, my currently haircut has side pieces to mask my ugly jaw.
it really helps

Do any of you think of larme as kind of...frumpy? Not in a bad way but its not as crisp and polished as something like lolita or even otome. Ive noticed a lot of the clothes tend to look kind of baggy or slightly wrinkled even. At first iii was kind of a turn off for me but I've grown to like it. I'm just a little afraid that wearing some larme brand items will make me look unpolished so I feel like I have to be choosy about what items I buy, for practicality sake. For something like mori or CPK the frumpiness is different because its got a flowy silhouette and the clothing items look like they're supposed to fit that way. But for larme a lot of items look like they should look polished but ... Don't. Idk if I'm explaining myself well ha-ha. What do you thibk?
>>
>>8739755
I think I get what you mean. I think i kind of ties into the whole imperfect, melancholic feel. Like the reason sick-face makeup is popular and all of the models have messy-perfect hair.

>>8739755
I know what you mean, the editor of larme Haruna Nakagori actually said that the looks aren't always perfect and 100% polished looking. I think the idea is not to appear like you've spent a long time fixing everything up (although some of the looks featured are quite sophisticated). Not all larme style is like that but you do see a bit of 'cute meets slightly unkempt' here and there.

I like most of it but pic related takes it a step too far I think - I find it awkward and frumpy looking as well. Outside of the magazine I think it would look even more awkward.

The larme aesthetic comes across as quite hipstery to me in many ways (appealing to the idea of being cultured, not looking like you try too hard, hints of darker themes etc etc) although I'm sure many people would protest the idea.
>>
>>8739800
Yes that outfit is a perfect example. Like awkward layering of items that probably arent really meant to be layered. And yep thats exactly my concefn... In a photoshoot the unpolished look can be chsrming, irl it might come across as not knowing how to dress yourself. And I don't think your wrong about the hipster thing. The fashion is definitely very self aware. I just think it does it in a much cuter way than western hipster fashion haha

>>8739788
And yes that's kind of what I was thinking as well. It's really interesting to me and it makes me sad that people write of larme as just a flavor of the day fashon when it has so many weird subtleties like that
>>
>>8738526
I might just do it for the coat and bag and sell the rest. I'm kind of on the fence because I'm not a huge swankiss fan and have never bought from them before. But I really like the coat and bag. Would it be worth it?
>>
>>8740157
I'd say yes, its supposed to be around $400 worth of shit
>>
>>8740157
Well getting a coat and bag from Swankiss would already cost more than that lucky pack, so I'd say go for it.
>>
>>8738964
You could give it a high fashion-y twist. Lots of western supermodel girls have hard jaws/bone structures and still pull off cute.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm really looking to get some of those sheer socks you're talking about on eBay.

I do wear glasses everyday, yeah, but I'm finally getting new ones after the holidays. I've been seeing some really nice frames in Larme but I'm stumped on what color I'd want. I think black is too harsh and brown only goes with so much. I'm planning on getting contacts too so hopefully I'll have the option.

Also, what does everyone think of the marabou style shoes that are really popular? I love them so much but I'm really nervous to get a pair and wear them out. I've been wearing himekaji regularly for about three years so I'm used to wearing different fashions but these are really out there for me.

for the anons that were lusting after the verybrain frill skirt, this one from Ank Rouge is similar and a much more affordable 7,452円 - it seems to be selling out fast however so you may need to hurry.
>>

thanks for alerting me, anon

I just wish it was longer. The verybrain looks like it would go down to my knees. The ank rouge one looks too short.

it's definitely shorter by quite a way but it's still not what I'd call short-short - an inch or two above the knee rather than mini. I think the model may also be on the taller side by Japanese standards(?).

I Love the verybrain version too but the price second hand is way out of my range.

Pic related is in the sale for 6,912円, very tempted.
>>
>>8743137
they show up quite often in norm fashion as 'fluffy mules', they're not that hard to find in a variety of sizes.
>>
>>8743142
I wanted to wear the skirt to work so it's a no go for me. I might pick up the ank rouge version secondhand someday once everyone is tired of it.

Still gonna try to sew something similar to the verybrain skirt at some point.

How do you guys choose what lip colour to wear in Larme? I have a lot of neutral grey/white/black outfits and can't decide if I should go for mature reds or girlish pinks.

Do you guys think Larme would work in a office setting?

I'm starting a internship at a law company and would like to incorporate cute/jfash elements without looking unprofessional.

I can see myself wearing >>8745344.

If you're just an intern, I really wouldn't. The coord you pointed out would be more creative industry workwear than law.
>>
>>8745451
I see!

It's just that I have a babyface and look way too tryhard in normal/"serious" outfits, so I thought adding something a bit more stylish would work... But probably would add up to my overall youngish appearance.

I think the skirt would work by stay away from the more "overt" elements like the cutout top and the heart bag.

I wore an ank rouge cut out top to my workplace and, while it didn't break any dress codes, I did get a few raised eyebrows. Now I don't give a shit, but I don't work in law. From what I understand appearance matters a great deal in the world of law so I would tread carefully. Just save Larme for outside of work.
>>
>>8745579
impressive anon! I don't think the button up cardi quite works, I think something open, collarless and maybe fluffy (in pink) would be better but otherwise, very nice.

you could probably get away with something similar to what Risa is doing here, just keep it simple and maybe restrict to just a few ruffle details etc on the blouse. Larme style make-up could probably be used, as well as some of the less messy looking updos. Keep skirts just above or below the knee as well. Don't wear ankle socks, stick to tights/stockings.

Subtle cute jewellery be possible - gold heart or bow necklaces and earrings etc, but keep them quite small. Pearls appear a lot in larme as well so you could try those.
>>
>>8745478
Law's all about looking trustworthy to your clients and competent to your peers, and that sadly means erring on the conservative side (unless you have enough of a reputation that your image doesn't matter). It's seriously one of the more image conscious professions out there. Stylish can work, but it should be conservative stylish. Think low-key chic instead of cute. Some firms even have a preference for suits. I'd recommend taking the lead of whoever is taking care of you during your internship when it comes to level of formality. Maybe do some snooping on LinkedIn or Facebook beforehand?

If you have a babyface, I'd definitely recommend wearing makeup to look more mature as well. It really matters when getting people to trust you with important stuff. I'm not even in law and I've had a client give me shit about looking too "young" for an account.

I'm not sure about the bag, necklace, or shoes. Try shoes with more details on them, either fluffyness, ribbons, platforms, or some combo of the three. I really like the socks, the white ones especially, they seem to really fit the larme feel.
As far as the purse I'm personally just not a fan of quilted material so that might be why. But it looks kind of normie and espeically since your main pieces are kind of normy, i'd say you should go all out with accessories. try springing for an actual larme brand purse or at least look at some to get inspo for what to search for.
and the bracelet just looks kind of cheap (which i guess is to be expected for 75c). But it might be doable.
>>
>>8750163
Ah, I forgot to mention I was also attempting the Larme challenge above >>8744624 So I was trying to keep the price range around $80

I definitely think I need more ruffles. I was going for texture which is why I chose the quilted bag and shiny shoes.
I like the necklace for a fancier type of ribbon choker. I've seen thick ribbon with brand names printed on it, and then tied around the neck. but I'm not sure what to call those
>>
>>8750177
Oh that explains it! You can still probably find at least a better pair of shoes for that price, though. Thats probably my biggest complaint. And your necklace is fine actually, I really like it! I meant to type bracelet haha. I think you could do with some more details/frills/texture in the neck area, but i'm not sure how you would do that without drowning out the choker. Maybe some kind of shirt you could layer under or over your blouse?
>>
>>8750135
pretty cute anon, I love those round glasses too.

I think the best way to really add to the larme vibe here would be to DIY 2 or 3 black bows to the front bib section (similar to pic related) of the blouse - really simple and effective.

Does anyone have any tutorials/tips for Larme-kei styled makeup for white girls or just light eyes in general?

A lot of the focus seems to be on natural cute eyes and bright lips, but having light eyes makes even the lightest eye makeup look 10x more intense.
This is just mascara with pearly white shadow on the lids (not really visible) and pink eyeshadow on the bottom. I avoided eyeliner to no real avail.

>Apologies for selfpost.
>pls halp
>>
>>8751387
Have you ever tried brown mascara? That tends to look less intense. You could also try brown eyeshadow as eyeliner to create a little wing
>>
>>8751387
This is pretty perfect actually, idk what else to suggest besides maybe some blush high on your cheek bones.
>>
>>8751387
I agree with the other anons, makeup looks great but a soft brown eyeliner could give a more clean defined look while still remaining simple. Also unrelated but you look adorable, you remind me of a Larme version of Snow White!
>>
>>8751387
I also think this is already very cute! Perhaps try and pinker shade of lipstick? This seems a bit tos harsh.
>>
>>8751387
I think the problem is not really your eye make up but rather your eyebrows. Larme looks tend to favour covered eyebrows or when they can be seen, a softer straight and less polished eyebrow as opposed to the nice arched eyebrows you have now.

You just need brown mascara and eyeliner, maybe some brown falsies if you feel like it, and some blush high on the cheeks and you've got the makeup down.

This is so ridiculous and impossible, are you people serious?

You realize you've placed her brows in a compleatly different spot that they don't even grow on. Asian girl eyebrows are inherently different than western women, because of bone structure etc. Sure she can lessen the arch a bit by shaving it but it's most definitely not going to look like this. Her brow will most likely always be a bit arched. Trying to mimic Asian girl eyebrows is quite difficult for some (yeah I tried a few years ago in my koreaboo days) and honestly its a step too far as a requirement for a fashion look, what's next making your eyes slanted?

Shaving/shaping the top and letting it grow out at the bottom will soften the brow but it will probably never look like that. Based on the shape of her brow she'll probably always have a bit of an arch.

>>8751591
Says, my eyebrows just can't physically straighten out. In this photo I'm actually shaving the top of the arch already. They're legit triangle clown/drag queen brows naturally.
In a desperate attempt to be kawaii I used to shave the entire outer halves off and draw them in straight. My brow bones stuck out like an inch above them and it looked so dumb, hueh.

But tl;dr I'm going to grow my bangs out to hide them.
>>
>>8751593
...filling her brow in would not change the angle of them, lol
>>
>>8751593
That's not filling, what you did there would be the equivalent of shaving off the complete upper half of the brows and redrawing it underneath. Just like you did in paint.
>>
>>8751597
Really, just work the style in with what you got, but don't try to ape Asian features as the other anon said. It will just end up looking awkward. You have a nice looking face but it isn't 'kawaii' it's more elegant in a vintage pin-up way or something, with those bangs and brows. Larme, like alot of Jfashion has vintage elements, so you can work with that. One last thing, the bags/dark lines under your eyes age you, I'd look into using some sort of concealer to cover them.
>>
>>8751597
I think the short bangs look cute on you though. In my opinion its the blush under your eyes/high on cheek bones whats missing.

Hey anon, I actually have arched eyebrows just like yours and I find it is possible to create a straighter brow look - the key is to fill in the area under the arch so that it is more in alignment with the beginning of your brows, then cover up the 'peaks' of the eyebrow arches with a bit of concealer and then set with powder.

It sounds complicated but with a bit of practice it can be done in under a minute. I use this technique on my brows pretty much every day.

You're really pretty and I like the pin-up gal thing you have going on. I do think your lips are more 'western' style however with the way the very corners fully filled and quite sharp. For a more obvious larme look, try adding colour to the centre part of your lips and then use a gloss or balm to gently push the lip color towards the corners of your lips, without filling them in completely. If you look at lame make-up looks, this is often the style they use. A slightly pinkier red will give a softer look as well.

Also don't forget to add a touch of pink blush under the eye area - the bright obvious pink is not for everyone so you could perhaps try a more subtle variation of this look.

Crappy paint style edit for reference attached.

I don't get this, there isn't just one type of "white girl" face, and ironically the model in >>8752209 has small roundish features and wide spaced eyes mostly typical to Asians and not to alot of long nose, long face Caucasian women. Do you not have blusher and lipstick to try this makeup and know how would look on your features?

I think this tutorial would make for a larme appropriate look, just perhaps use more natural looking false lashes - dark brown type and not so thick:

This one too perhaps, just use dark brown liquid eye-liner instead of black, you could adjust the blusher placement to be more larme-like as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKBfegQdIBQ

I noticed most coordinates have a slim form fitting silhouettes, using pencil skirts. Is it not very Larme to use fuller skirts? I watched the video and Risa said a fuller skirt makes the look more childish, but I thought Larme was looking child-like and youthful with a mature feel?
>>
>>8757346
It's not about looking child-like, coquettish and youthful perhaps but not child-like. You see a lot of other skirt shapes, especially skater type cut and a-line midi skirts, it's just that pencil skirts seem to be 'in' for winter. Also remember that there are a hell of a lot of 'normie' looking things in larme, they just tend not to get posted/uploaded so much.

I'd highly recommend buying a copy of the magazine if you haven't already, so you can gain a better, more complete picture of the fashion over all, tumblr (and here to a certain extend) tends to distort things a bit.

Also although Risa is a bit of a larme icon, her style does tend to lean towards a more mature look, but that's her style in general, not necessarily the image for the entire magazine.

I think 'girly' and ultra feminine might be a better way to describe larme than 'child-like'. Compared to a lot of j-fash trends, especially the Harajuku based stuff, it's not really all that child-like.

>>
>>8757457
I think it's a misconception in how "child-like" it is. I'm pretty sure that the magazine didn't mean it in a nymphette-type way. The term was meant to be relative in my opinion. It's more child-like than normie fashion due its cutsey details, but it's not so far gone that it's ageplay. Some people just take things too far.

I've been wondering, why does stuff like pic related keep being labelled as 'larme'? I've never seen anything like this in the larme magazines I own or in the scans I've come across unless I'm missing something?

To me this is more swankiss, yumekawaii, younger harajuku type style.

I know swankiss does appear in the magazine but the clothing and make-up is styled differently, not to mention most of the swankiss depicted is in the form of paid-for ads.

People didn't (and still dont) realize this, that's why. It's basically become a feature of western larme kei at this point, just like how western cult party kei is very different from how it was in Japan.

The earrings are Larme but yeah that makeup is kinda too intense.

Swankiss is really hit or miss when it comes to Larme. Some pieces work just fine and others are too OTT.

I talked to some friends about this and since Larme has a pretty broad meaning we kinda label Swankiss as "OTT Larme kei".
Larme kei is about being cute and girly, and having a fluffy/dreamy feel to your look as well as bringing a twist to it like Risa's 'dark points' or the sickly make.
I personally doesn't think of Swankiss as "not larme" haha
>>
>>8760878
Fucking agreed. Swankiss is Larme but its a lot more OTT.

Too many people are so quick to jump on the "Swankiss isn't Larme!!1!" bandwagon and its really annoying.
>>
>>8760878
I feel the same, but I'd also hate to see Larme become like lolita where a lot of people don't even recognize non-OTT as part of the style anymore.

>Larme has a pretty broad meaning

I don't see how it's broad beyond say, 'encompasses the larme magazine aesthetic', which granted will vary depending on emerging trends etc but that's not really the same thing.

Larme is the name of the magazine after all, so it makes sense that the styles should represent the kind of things shown in it. That's not being nitpicky or close-minded, just what should be pretty much self explanatory - why call it 'larme' if it doesn’t resemble something that would be shown in the magazine? As mentioned, you do not see this >>8759117 kinda thing in there. I mean, please correct me if I'm wrong but I honestly have not seen anything quite like this in the magazine outside of an ad.

If you actually look through the magazines, the style is generally not all that flashy and jewellery, hair embellishments etc are generally kept to a minimum, or at least with a certain amount of restraint (even if statement pieces are used).

Larme is not just 'cute and girly', so many j-fashions do that anyway, it has a sophisticated twist and is very much in the vain of otona kawaii with sometimes a playful and coquettish take on things, but not entirety child-like.

I don't think people are saying that swankiss can't be associated with larme either, more that the 'typical' swankiss style doesn’t really represent the magazine aesthetic.

Since larme magazine has also never really been about being 'ott', I'm not really sure how 'ott larme' is a thing either. I mean, keep enjoying the styles you love, knock yourself out, but all this just seems like needless deviation from a magazine that already has its own 'voice'.

I think it looks good! I think the ribbon might look better cut a bit shorter - approximately cut so it would sit about an inch above the top part of the earring pom pom (or alternatively, so it sits about an inch below it) . You could cut the ribbon at a diagonal and then seal it with a lighter to give it more of a finished look.

The hair is fine as is but a touch more styling might be nice, I think half bunches (similar to pic related) and a few more waves would look good, you could then try adding a ribbon to each 'bunch'. What ever you decide to do with your hair, a little more volume at the top of your head would perhaps make for a cuter, even more flattering look.

Your make up is perfectly fine as is, and I realise larme isn't all about bright blusher and lips but you could try adding a touch more colour to the cheek area and a slightly deeper pink towards the centre of your lips. The Risa Nakamura trick of putting a bit of pink-red colour just below the iris would work well too.

Have you been on a New Look haul anon? I think I recognise quite a few of these items - they have great stuff in there right now!
>>
>>8761756

Haha, I saw someone post in a past thread about New Look and so went hunting. Bought quite a lot and everything was on sale (bless that anon!). There's quite a few western brands that can be used in larme, for example my skirt and socks are actually from Hollister.
Thanks so much for the help and advice, I really appreciate it!

No worries anon, I think you really suit the larme look and should keep rocking it! I've attached a dodgy paint-tier make-up mock-up to show what I mean.

Regarding lipstick, you could try adding a layer of pink lipstick (as you have in your original photo) and then add a little red lipstick to the centre, you can then 'blur' out the red with some lip balm - even with a bright red, if placed on top of pink lipstick with lip balm added, it shouldn't look too bright but still add depth of colour. May be worth a try anyway until you have the lipsticks you want.

Super pretty makeup anon. I have some concrit about your hair though. It's really beautiful and soft first of all, what's your hajrcare routine like? I'm pretty new to the fashion so I don't want to fuck up completely on my first try.
>>
>>8761866
Its not super larme imo but it can work! Rather than a cardigan I'd experiment with layering it over turtlenecks or other long sleeved blouses, probably black or white. get some pretty black heels like the ones in this pic

Not really. It's more to do with people not wanting others to think Swankiss is the entire Larme look, which is reflected by alot of outfit and makeup pics uploaded by individuals on Tumblr and so on. I've only seen measured responses (here at least); it's like damage control.

>>8761191
This.
>>
>>8761191
Ah! Yes! That's true. My thoughts came from the main editor of Larme saying that the essence of Larme was a "light and fluffy" feel, almost dreamlike. Also a cute and girly look was a must(She probably meant femininity(?), what do I know about japanese)
And since she wanted other people to say "that has a Larme feel to it" or "That's very Larme" etc. I just thought that it was more of a feeling about a look rather that an absolute dresscode.
In the future, Larme Magazine might even change their image completely, who knows. Then the aestathic we know today would be known as "Oldschool Larme kei" or something like that, right? Idk what my point is, but to me, Larme-kei is more about a feeling instead of a set of rules I guess haha

I know I should be very careful when calling women 'too skinny/fat' or whatever and I know Risa is very tiny and petite, but in some pictures she looks worryingly thin to me, so thin it's actually been playing on my mind a little bit. it's not always that apparent as she wears a lot of boxy cuts etc but every now and then you get some sense of how tiny she really is.

I really like Risa and hope she's still happy and healthy.

Having worked in fashion, and seeing Risa's lingerie spreads, I'd say she's in the normal/average range for an asian fashion model.
Pic related (though they could have edited her ribs out) you can see she has some softness to her - certain muscle groups and bones become unnaturally apparent in unhealthily underweight people, but I can't see them on her. I'm not saying that it's impossible that she's unhealthy, or that eating disorders aren't a problem, but she's probably thin and petite because of genetics and eating healthy, just like most models.

She doesn't seem worryingly thin to me at all, I've been blogging her photos via Katie and the early onset of Larme for about 2 years now and she has always been very slim and petite. She does look sligtly thinner in the picture you posted compared to a few years ago (pic related) but not alarmingly so. Also as other anon said, photoshopping happens in the editing process in some cases.

>>8773660
Agreed
>>
>>8773660
I'm not suggesting that she is or isn't underweight or whatever but this image as it stands has definitely been photo shopped and not to make her look smaller, but rather to smooth the skin and make it look soft and 'plumped out'. Skin smoothing etc is pretty standard stuff though.

Also

>thin and petite because of genetics and eating healthy, just like most models

I can't comment on Japanese models but sadly this isn't often the case in the high-end western modelling world. So many models are on permanently very low calorie diets and the problems in the industry are well documented, even former vogue editors have spoken up about it.
>>
>>8773709

love this look on saramari, the big glasses really flatter her face and the mid-brown hair color (I know it's a wig) really suits her as well.

Of course she should do what she likes but natural hair colors and shorter (shoulder length or above) styles look great on her, I'd like to see her adopt this look more often. The softer make-up is nice too. I also admire how she can pull off big lenses - they just make me look like a creepy alien/on drugs and not in a good way.

I'm not a big fan of wigs in larme in general though I must admit, even the purportedly natural looking ones tend to look very 'wiggy' to me. Half wigs and extensions would be better bet on the whole I think, if one's own hair needs a bit of help.
>>
>>8773744
I think it's just the pose/angle, her legs are still very slim, they just look larger initially when you see them crossed over like this.

I get the impression that shorter models may feel the pressure to stay lean as staying very thin creates a more elegant and streamlined look - that's the theory anyway. I remember those insane gyaru weight-loss ads and some of the super skinny popular gyaru models from back in the day and thought then that the goal wasn't to be incredibly skinny as such, but more to keep a svelte (rather than squat or dumpy) looking figure. It's very difficult to look tall and lean when you have short legs and a height of say, 5ft 2 I guess.
>>
>>8774043
I definitely agree on your points about wigs. I think perhaps it may be that this wig is higher quality than most wigs used in jfash, or is at least styled in a way that is very flattering. Most synthetic wigs tend to be all one tone whereas this has several tones which looks very natural, and also there is nowhere where the parting looks like it is coming from a weft.

I wasn't worried about how my thighs looked I literally couldn't move them lol...also although my waist is admittedly a bit wide relative to the rest of my body, the dress also wasn't fully zipped in this pic (couldn't reach the back and wasn't buying it anyway so didn't wanna bother) so that's why I look a little more boxy

>>8773709
Not to fuel the fire but she really looks a lot softer here than she has recently, especially around her face. Almost couldn't tell it was her.

>>8772975
Have you received it yet? How do you like it? I've been looking on AE for similar things but maybe I should just go for ank rouge

Indeed, love those curled under bangs

Some more coordisnap bits 'n bobs.

I decided to have a look on youtube again to see if any more larme style makeup tutorials had popped up that didn't tend to suggest covering yourself in glitter and bright pink blush.

This girl's vid is very amateurish in style so don't expect anything slick, crucially though I think she 'gets' it and has come up with a perfectly fitting look:

A few more:

the production on this one is really nice:

The first vid is by one of the admins of the don't cry baby larme group on facebook. I feel like the admins there do get it but they're way too lenient on people who don't.

casual sweaters with ultra feminine and relatively dressy skirts, paired with sneakers. I love this look. Kinda reminds me of 90s style, it looks oddly familiar.
>>
I bought a really cute tartan midi skirt for the holidays. Kinda want to wear it in a larme way, or is a tartan print just a bad idea?

saw this on my dash earlier, to me it's pretty borderline in terms of being larme appropriate and certainly isn't typical of stuff you'd find in there. I do think it's pretty cool though and one could try out a more toned down version of a similar look. It also reminds me of something Risa Nakamura might wear.

The lingerie looking cami over a casual top could potentially look really awkward, even though this girl pulls it off because she seems pretty fierce - I think a slightly more structured cropped bodice type top could be a less 'out there' alternative.

It honestly depends on the cut more than anything, I don't see tartan as necessarily un-larme like. I'm also pretty sure that if tartan became a big trend in Japanese fashion they'd have their own unique take on it in terms of the styling.

Why not post a pic of the skirt so anons could have a go at coordinating it/give some suggestions?
>>
>>8774868
I haven't yet but I might post a short review when I do if anyone is interested. I couldn't really find anything similar in style anything else
>>

I buy things from there from time to time. Things are worth their price.
Shoes run small, so buy 1 size up.

Where can I find these cropped lingerie tops?

I'm gonna post some stuff once I'm back at uni, my dorm room is way better for taking pictures and I'm hoping to order some monlilly with christmas money, and my hometown charity shops are usually pretty good as well.

So I found these shoes at the thrift store and I'm trying to add on some details onto them to make them for into larme a little better. So far I have fluff on the front and a ribbon on the back. Does it look okay to you gulls? The fluff is actually a cut up pompom because I couldn't find any black fake fur, so I'm worried it looks kind of strange
>>
>>8779181
The fluff type and arrangement looks off to me. I think simply a pom pom or another bow would look better.
>>
>>8779181
It looks really cheap. Try something else like >>8779816 suggested.
>>
>>8779957
I was considering just using a pompom but thought that might look even cheaper . a bow might work though. Or Any recs for any kind of fur or fluff that might work better?
>>
>>8779981
Pom poms are very common in larme footwear and the fashion in general. You need some fluffier, longer fur like >>8741904 .
>>
New thread when??
>>
>>8780039
Yeah I know in general pom poms are used but the ones I had were like arts and craft store tier and not like cute and fluffy, so it would probably end up looking like a clown shoe. I'll probably keep looking for some nicer longer fur then. Thanks!
>>
pic related is so pretty.

also if anyone if willing to update the
sticky in the new thread with the suggestions outlined here >>8765904 or anything else that might be worth adding, I think it would be beneficial

That's a very old pic. I saw her irl and she's
very skinny, her face was looking a little gaunt too. But she's still stunning, her makeup was on point. I follow her since 2011 and it's crazy how her face changed.
