I know who you are referring to - and it does make me wish they had explored other characters.

Well, who knows - maybe a season 2, or even better, more seasons, could explore that possibility.

But I definitely hope they explore cyclops teacher (and that she's a real monoeye!)

I gave it some thought.

I will do a storytime of all the current chaptes of Nurse Hitomi in English, continuing from Chapter 27 onwards.

Basically all the chapters done in the last storytime mentioned here >>2927813 , I will be doing on /a/ this weekend.

They do feel kinda rare. Nurse Hitomi and Mako-san to Hachisukakuna re the only two mainstream manga I know with a primary cyclops protagonist. There is Anarchy in the JK, but its a whole band and not just the cyclops.

Arguably though, cyclops just need time to gain more exposure, and maybe manga like Nurse Hitomi may help

I'm working on a setting for my Cyclops girls but I can't decide something. So, if there's a story with a cyclops in it, what do you guys tend to prefer? Are they the only cyclops and there are normal humans/other monsters, or are there other monoeye too?

Personally speaking - and as someone working on a setting for cyclopes myself - I like the idea that there are other cyclops/monoeye, and they exista s a community. A race, eveb, complete with their own nations etc. I can imagine them co-existing with other races (or monster people types), but I tend to focus more the cyclopes and similar humanoids.

One thing I always like to see - and its a bit of a rarity - is cyclops couples. As in, hetero couples. Most cyclops males, even in pixiv art, tend to be of the monstrous/brute type, b ut there are some that are bishounen/handsome. And out of those, very few are with girls. The one thing I do hope to see is more cyclops couples, along with more cyclops bishounen (though of course, the latter is a /cm/ thing)

If anyone is around - I'm planning to do a big Hitomi storytime this September 1st.

Basically, I plan to cover every chapter of Nurse Hitomi, from start to finish. I hope that it will raise interest in the manga through this endeavour. Also, I will go with the uploaded Seven Seas translation so that ( a) people can compare it to the FwPA translation and ( b) the Seven seas includes extras not in the FwPA releases.

Hope people will come by to the threads on /a/ this September 1st!

That´s not it, I think that when the eye in stretched across the whole of the upper part of the face,it is freaking me out by itself. Eyes are not supposed to be oval, huge and deformed like that. It didn´t help that in one of the pictures that were like that, the girl also didn´t have a mouth, but just blank skin over there, so the eye was the most dominant feature of her face. Seeing that made me gtfo.

Yeah this bothers me too, but it does explain why cyclops and anime style work together so well. I figured that a babyish nose works best, since there's no nose bridge.
