We can't have dialectic on Rei Q with these sorts of people because they aren't really her to discuss, but to force Rei Q on everyone because they know Rei Q was intended to choke out Rei fans - which is what has been happening. Think about it lads, last time there was any sort of "serious" Rei character was in the 2007-2009 era, and even then there were some reservations about that. We've been almost a decade without the proper Rei here.

this is exactly the type of witch hunting I'm talking about. How would you feel if a character you liked was constantly being attacked as being "not really that character." Being called a "fake character" I personally don't like Rei Q but I don't see why it's so hard for people in this thread to deal with her being posted here/not jump down the throat of anybody who does post her.

I'm sure that some people in the asuka thread don't like shikinami because they don't feel like it's really asuka, but they'd never attack anybody for posting her. You can make excuses and say that shikinami wasn't nearly as terrible an offense as Q but I don't see it.

I've seen it happen a lot in their threads, the reactions among them aren't as strong because after all, Shikinami is represented more favourably than the original Asuka. More people now like Shikinami than Asuka, so only a small minority don't like Shikinami.

Even if Anno were to disagree or agree, we can discard his authority in cases where the work he made contradicts him.

The Rebuilds do not supersede the originals, it only gives fucked up otaku scum like yourself reason to delve deeper into the collective escapist delusion called Evangelion fandom.
