That's what I thought, but I couldn't get them to look natural. I probably could with enough time but I can't really get that grainy pencil effect unless I dig up my tablet (which I lost about a year ago) and redraw them in Sai.

Can't say I've used gimp, but I use the pen tool in Photoshop mostly.
