I've got Fate/Extra and the latest PPSSPP and when I go up to the roof to meet Rin at the start, the loading screen just keeps loading and doesn't finish. Do you know how to fix it?

Turns out there's something wrong with the European version of the game. Bought it on the PSN Store years ago and that's what I was trying to play on PPSSPP. Used a backup of the US version I had from before I bought it on the Store and it plays somewhat perfectly now. Gameplay is fine, but the audio is weird and crackly. I think that might be the emulator, though.

Did you fix your sound problems?
I've had similar problems and I fixed this by changing some things in the "effects" list. Can't remember the exact values, maybe later I will take a look, but make sure that you don't overexert your CPU.

I did! I changed 'Audio Backend' to 'DSound (Compatible)' in the 'Audio' tab. I also have 'Sound speed hack (Dead Or Alive, etc.)' checked, but I can't tell if that did anything. The game is playing perfectly now. I'm just bummed I have to start all over again.
