We don't. Your country is a shithole so there's no gain to be had shipping to or from there. Come back when you peasants have more disposable income so you can afford more than a bag of potatoes.

I help run an eBay store selling electronics made in China. Something like 1/3rd of our products are sold in towns along the border of Mexico, or Miami.

I'm almost certain our customers are trafficking drugs to the US, using that money they earn to smuggle Chinese electronics back to their home state. Apparently the tariffs/taxes are that high on electronics in Latin America that they make a killing both ways.

They're obviously not declaring the goods because it would be a 150% tax.

I´ve had Iranian housemates for long time. They are the nicest people I ever met. They smoked a lot of opium though..

And one of them proposed to me to get married to his 19 year old niece lol (he was very serious about it) ´good woman, no running away with your money.. alway listen to you etc ´´

I spoke to her once on skype. I didn´t do that though. They didn´t care I was western and Christian.

My dad got a product from an Iranian guys' kickstarter. Good product too, an arduino add on. crowdfunding in Iran just got a bigger crowd, brah.

Hell, you could probably do a gofundme in the wake of the Paris attacks, to work on intelligence sharing between the Iranian guard and the West. Or some international friendship thing, people out here love promoting friendship with moderate muslims. Possibilities are endless yo.
>>
I read a story once about some Iranian woman who was in the US going to college when the whole embassy hostage thing went down. Almost all trade was illegal and her parents couldn't send her money. One of the few things that was still allowed into the US from Iran was Persian rugs. So her parents sent her a bunch of rugs and she set up shop in a mall complex that was completely abandoned except for her. It was set to be torn down and she was renting space by the day. She's still in business and has made tens of millions in profit.
>>
Well it's simple Ackmajidad, find something that is cheap in Iran but expensive in the West. Alternatively, find something that is cheap in the West, but expensive in Iran.

I've heard stories about Apple products being banned in Iran or something, which leads to a black market opportunity.

I have connections for incredibly cheap milk from New Zealand as well as some other agricultural/horticultural products if you wanted some goods shipped to you. I manage on a family farm which produces Kiwifruit, Dairy and Beef.

I really doubt Iran was part of SWIFT in the late 70's. Transactions were much more complicated, especially after sanctions were put on.

>>965498
Just repeating it as it was reported in the local paper. The story was about the city using eminent domain to seize the property the rug store was on.

How big is the shipping cost across half of the globe vs. already incredibly low food prices? 300% of its price? Most humans in the world can't afford transporting their own ass at that distance. Can food in New Zealand be even more affordable than a man's own ass to himself? How can food transported from New Zealand cost less than food obtained locally in Europe or Iran?

I'm not really denying you because I know that Great Britain eats corned beef from Argentine. I'm trying to educate myself how this is possible = about the economics of this.

Because I would love me some tasty micellar casein from you.
>>
>>965544
Well, we produce so much fucking milk that the price for milk in NZ is 200% cheaper than in England. I think we generally produce about 2240L per day. Generally though, it could be shipped to a common destination like China for pittance. Some nations are a tad more costly, but otherwise it would be cheaper than most locals.

NZ markets are almost entirely orientated around China, Britain and Australia. Only tariffs keep those milk products out at the moment. American tariffs for example were just BTFO by the TPPA, so it might be affordable.

I'm probably not mature in business enough to go through and grab this opportunity, but who knows. The questions that I have may be of interest to others who will, although an experienced trader would already know many answers.

1. Do you get certificates for these things in NZ and EU?
2. How can one test such products for quality independently? What kind of labs do that? Is such testing affordable? Is it a good practice or redundant effort?
3. For some reason, micellar caseins isn't a common dairy product. Can you have top-grade micellar casein for human consumption?

>>965565
Interesting.
>>
>>965556

The US has some fucked up laws regarding milk. Back in the 1930's they passed a law that set a minimum price for milk at which point the government would begin buying it and dumping it down the drain.

The thing I wonder about is shelf life. Milk doesn't last very long.
>>
>>965581
>shelf life
1. Microfiltration / ultrafiltration. Taste is excellent compared to pasteurisation or UHT. And shelf-life is longer than pasteurisation, though not anything like UHT which is virtually infinite.
2. Yes, it seems that the US is proud of its own milk, not entirely for wrong reasons. I hear that you sell fresh milk in stores. Compare that to Spain and Italy who sell mainly months-old UHT milk (if I should believe Wikipedia).
>>
>>965556
Also my guess is that you have an Alibaba.com page.
>>
>>965576
We have quality certificate. Generally, it is graded from C to A+. Milk is generally solidified here then rehydrated once it reaches its destination. Essentially all milk is powdered then mixed. There are biochemical labs that can analyse that stuff. Generally they test for toxins rather than actual quality. Quality is normally determined by purity.

It can be found, top grade micellar casein.

>>965581
Well, diary in the US is getting BTFO. West Coast milk is primarily from NZ because freight costs from Vermont and Wisconson are too high relative to nautical transport.

I had no idea any of that existed. In a lot of places in the US you can still buy raw (unpasteurized) milk, especially if you go to a farm.

I live in the Northeast US. At most, milk goes from the cow to the shelf within 48 hours, and I've heard some places do it in less than half a day.
>>
>>966682
The signature look of UHT milk all over the world is a Tetra Pak box (patented). It's never refrigerated and it's been here (as an alternative to fresh milk) since the 1990s. I can remember how, at the beginning, it was sold as a premium product at twice the price of ordinary fresh milk. Fresh milk was for poor people, LOL. I was one of the suckers that drunk UHT. Now it's the opposite: everyone else drinks UHT and I can't stand its "stale" taste.

http://www.foodrenegade.com/just-say-no-to-uht-milk/
>Americans distrust milk that hasn’t been refrigerated. We like our milk cold, and UHT milk doesn’t need to be refrigerated.
Nice! Who could guess that the US is the world's leader in natural food... Your reputation abroad (that of the world's leader in junk food) needs fixing.

>So, milk producers got creative. They could extend the shelf life of their product and not advertise that they were doing it. They’d sell the milk in normal packaging, in the refrigerator aisle, and none of us would be the wiser.
The article says this about the U.S. but that's exactly what I have observed happening clandestinely and without public notice over the last 5 years in northern Europe. If I had bought "fresh" milk 5 years ago and kept it outside the fridge, it would go bad overnight. Now, when I buy the same brands, I can keep them outside fridge after opening for the same amount of time as in the fridge, up to 3 days, in summer.

Though the process is most certainly microfiltration rather than UHT, because I can tell UHT by "dead" taste, whilst microfiltered milk has "creamy" (good casein) taste.
>>
>>967027
>Your reputation abroad (that of the world's leader in junk food) needs fixing.

No, sadly it doesn't. You can buy anything you want in the US (except Kinder Eggs), and most people choose junk food.
>>
I live in Australia.
I have access to the following items from China at VERY low prices due to my girlfriends parents owning large portions of the factories or businesses that make them.

Composite wood decking
Circular formwork for columns
Carpet smooth edges which are used for installation (Carpet hooks they are sometimes called)
Wall paper
Luxury timber

I work as a project manager for a constriction company and I am trying to make contacts here to sell these to in large quantities but I have not met the right people yet or trades.

The big money is with the formwork and decking, possibly the smooth edges if I get enough repeat purchases.

I just do not know enough people in the industry yet.

I am in Australia
>>
>>967027
Agreed. I hate to use the c word but if you buy this crap you're a kek for the dairy industry. The only way this product has any advantage over other pasteurization methods is that its long shelf life allows milk producers to reduce their spoilage costs.

That's it? What's his customers from buying off Alibaba instead? I know someone whose business involves buying furniture in China cheap. She then proceeds to sell it here in our country at 4x the price. Gets away with it too.
>>
>>968135
>That's it? What's his [Western] customers from buying [directly] off Alibaba instead?
I wonder about this too. Possibilities:
1. Bulk purchase benefits (price, shipping).
2. Better customer service, translated manuals, warranty, returns.
3. Why would people buy directly from Alibaba if they can buy from him?
>>
>>968784

Ah. Thanks for the enlightenment.
>>
>>969182
I'm merely speculating there.
>>
>>967776
Same anon here. You remembered me.

Unfortunately I declined to go. I have limited funds and that would sort of put all my eggs in one basket.

I spoke to an advisor and they suggest I work for a while and meet the right people before trying to sell.

I work as a project manager in construction and I am very new to the workforce. So I will try to work for a couple years before committing full force into some kind of business with the materials.

I want to know enough people and have enough connects to be able to quit my role as a project manager and devote myself into some kind of either trade/service or just a seller.

Just this morning I met my first large carpet company, so this might be a promising lead for the carpet smooth edges.

But at the moment, I do not know enough to just hop in and try and compete head to head even if my products are cheaper.
